Finding Paydirt: Week 13 NFL Touchdown Picks — Win 2 Months of RG Premium & More Prizes!
Touchdowns, while extremely variant, make or break daily fantasy success and swing thousands of dollars every Sunday. Every weekend, players wait anxiously for the players on their roster to find paydirt. The purpose of the contest is to provide an opportunity for the RotoGrinders community to come together to sweat our touchdown picks together. Did I mention there will be prizes?
Happy Football Weekend, Grinders! Week 11 was our last week of competition. With a week off during the holiday last weekend, we finish our third segment in Week 13. With 12 games, we should be working with a much higher volume of touchdowns than we’ve seen in recent weeks.
We open with a leaderboard update prior to making cuts from our top-salary players. Then, we make our touchdown picks.

Finding Paydirt Rules and Prizes
Very simple. Each week, I will publish Finding Paydirt on Friday morning — highlighting my favorite touchdown pick for the running back, wide receiver, and tight end position. To participate in the contest, you simply need to read the article and leave your three picks in the comments section. So, easy, right? You will take Jonathan Taylor, Davante Adams, and Travis Kelce! Easy!
Not so fast, friends! There is a catch. Each week, we will run the contest for Sunday’s DraftKings Main Slate (1:00 PM and 4:00 PM games). However, to make things a bit more interesting, I will be cutting the top five priced running backs and wide receivers as well as the top three priced tight ends. Everyone else on the slate is in play.
Each week I will post an updated leaderboard with the total touchdowns accumulated that week and for the season.
So, simply put, read the article, check the cut list, make your three picks in the comments, and win prizes! What are the prizes? Read below.
The following prizes will be awarded to players based on their touchdown total for each four-week segment:
First Place – 2 months of RotoGrinders NFL Premium
Second Place – RotoGrinders T-shirt and hat
Third Place – 2 weeks of SAO Premium
The following prizes will be awarded to players based on their touchdown total for the first 16 weeks of the NFL season:
First Place – One month of RotoGrinders Combo Premium
Second Place – RotoGrinders Swag Pack
Third Place – One month of SAO Premium
Now, let’s get into this week’s cut list.
The Week 13 Cut List
Your selections must be on the DraftKings Main Slate and cannot be any of the players below. These players are the top five at both RB and WR and the top three at TE.
Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End |
Christian McCaffrey | Justin Jefferson | Travis Kelce |
Austin Ekeler | Tyreek Hill | Mark Andrews |
Saquon Barkley | Davante Adams | T.J. Hockenson |
Derrick Henry | Ja’Marr Chase | |
Nick Chubb | A.J. Brown |
The cuts are complete. Let’s make some anytime touchdown picks.
NFL Week 13 Touchdown Picks
Aaron Jones – RB – $6,900
Aaron Jones sees one of the most exploitable matchups on the slate for a running back. The Bears’ defense is now in complete tatters between trading key pieces and having recent key injuries. The Packers continue to emphasize running the football with a dual-threat envied by most teams around the league.
Jones and Dillon are both in the mix for a touchdown against the weakened Bears’ defense, but we will stick with Jones because of his passing game involvement. Jones should be see a share of 6-8 targets to complement his 15+ touches on the ground. We open with him on our touchdown card.
Jones is -135 to score a touchdown on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Christian Kirk – WR – $6,300
The Lions and Jaguars have one of the higher point totals relative to just how inconsequential the game is in the NFL landscape. At 51.5 points, this game is only behind the Chiefs-Bengals game and will likely garner a lot of ownership across DFS contests.
DFS play or not, we should look to this game for touchdowns given the frenetic pace in some of Detroit’s games this season. We have seen Detroit keep pace with teams as their defense continues to let up score after score. For the Jaguars, Christian Kirk is the feature piece through the air.
Kirk’s 16 red zone targets rank 7th in the NFL this season. The only other player available to us with more targets in the score area is D.K. Metcalf. If this game blows open, Kirk should see many opportunities to have a very big game.
Kirk is +130 to score at FanDuel Sportsbook
George Kittle – TE – $5,000
Over the years, George Kittle has been unavailable to us due to pricing. With a variety of weapons on San Francisco and additional top-flight tight ends available this weekend, Kittle is a premiere option to find paydirt.
At $5,000, Kittle is a contrarian option for DFS lineups because he often does not receive enough volume to pay off this elevated tag. However, Kittle has two-touchdown upside and plenty of gas in the tank for a really big play. So far, the Dolphins surrendered the third-most touchdowns to the tight end position in the league (7).
Caesars Sportsbook prices George Kittle at +185 to score a touchdown on Sunday.
Thanks for checking out this week’s article. Leave your touchdown picks in the comments for a chance at winning monthly and seasonal prizes.
