NFL Week 3 Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings
One of the biggest pieces of running back news to come last week was the devastating injury to Nick Chubb. The knee injury was so unsettling that the commentators remarked that they would not be showing any replay footage over the air. Meanwhile, those in attendance who were watching the replay on the big screen collectively gasped. RB Chubb had to be carted off the field and is now out for the season.

Fantasy Football Running Back Notes
With Chubb done for the season, it will be up to Jerome Ford to handle the bulk of Cleveland’s running back duties, although the Browns just brought back a familiar face on a one-year deal: Kareem Hunt. Hunt will presumably reprise his role in backing up the RB1, so consider grabbing him if you need some depth at the position in your fantasy football leagues. One last thing worth mentioning is that the Tennessee Titans are greedy when it comes to rushing production allowed, so the numbers might not be there right away.
Surprise! Cam Akers was a healthy scratch Week 2 (and just now got sent to Minnesota). That paved the way for Kyren Williams to put up a healthy stat line. Williams had 52 rushing yards and one touchdown as well as six receptions for 48 receiving yards and a touchdown. This was against the San Francisco 49ers. I sure felt silly leaving him on my bench last week given the matchup despite his production in his first game. Williams is now the clear starter, and he draws a Week 3 foe in the Cincinnati Bengals, a team that ranks second to last in rushing yards allowed.
The top RB of the week is Tony Pollard against an abysmal Arizona team. Dallas seems to be comfortable running the ball with their stout defense in play. Arizona has allowed 109.5 rushing yards per game so far this season.
Good luck in Week 3!
