Best NFL Week 7 Player Props at Online Sportsbooks

Unfortunately, we took a couple of steps back after a nice run to start the season. Preston Williams was barely involved in a win versus the Jets while David Montgomery fell two yards short of a wildly attainable over. Lamar Jackson saved some bacon with an explosive rushing performance against the Eagles. That performance is in the past, though, and we look forward to a Week 7 slate in the NFL. Here are my favorite prop picks for this weekend’s afternoon slate of games.

NFL Week 7 Player Props — QB Pick for Steelers at Titans
Ryan Tannehill Over/Under 264.5 Passing Yards (use our DraftKings promo code to get these odds)
In potentially the most consequential game of Week 7, the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Tennessee to play the undefeated Titans. The Steelers — also undefeated — are a slight underdog on the road although the 1.5 number suggests Pittsburgh would be favored on a neutral field. The total — 50.5 points — has been bet down a couple of points since opening.
Tannehill is riding high after two victories against the Texans and Bills — throwing seven touchdowns in the process. Tannehill threw for more than 300 yards against the Vikings and Texans — but who doesn’t? The Steelers allow a measly 6.4 yards per pass attempt and 219.0 passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks.
The Steelers offense is firing in 2020 and there is some risk if Big Ben and his band of pass-catchers get ahead early. Tannehill has compiled stats in negative game scripts. However, if the script is neutral or better — the Titans will look to feed Derrick Henry — repeatedly. The Titans and Steelers both sit in the top five of the NFL in rushing attempts per game (32.6 and 32.8 respectively). Give me the under.
My Pick: Under 264.5. Passing Yards +100
NFL Week 7 Player Props — RB Pick for Chiefs at Broncos
Melvin Gordon Over/Under 54.5 Rushing Yards Yards (DraftKings)
Melvin Gordon returns to the Broncs after a tumultuous couple of weeks. Last week, Gordon missed the game versus the Patriots with strep throat, despite getting into trouble off the field with a DUI. While Gordon awaits his day in court, the Broncos reportedly will not discipline the running back.
That said, Phillip Lindsay returned last week in relief of MGIII. Lindsay was not eased in — instead, he carried the ball 23 times for 101 rushing yards. While Lindsay will certainly step back a bit upon Gordon’s return, he will surely play a role after such a big performance.
The Chiefs give up 145.3 rushing yards per game but only 114.3 of those yards come from the running back position. While they are not effective against opposing rushing games, the capacity for the Chiefs to score points in droves might force the Broncos to change their game plan. With Lindsay snatching carries away from Gordon and a bit of cloudiness hanging over the former-star back — I think he stays below this number. I will take another under with Gordon on DraftKings.
My Pick: Under 54.5 Rushing Yards -112
NFL Week 7 Player Props — WR Pick for Browns at Bengals
A.J. Green Over/Under 47.5 Receiving Yards (use our FanDuel promo code to get these odds)
Break out the broom, the vacuum, or the dustbuster because well, A.J. Green is pretty, pretty dusty. If you told me a few years ago that A.J. Green would post a 47.5 receiving yardage prop against the Browns I would laugh — hysterically — at you. Yet, we have arrived.
Green is not a sexy prop pick by any stretch of the imagination but the volume really picked up upon his return last week. Against a tougher Colts defense, Green saw 11 targets — catching 8 for 96 yards. DFS owners likely cursed his name after he missed the 100-yard bonus, but Green draws a much better matchup in Week 7.
The Browns have allowed 13.1 yards per catch to wide receivers in 2020 and trail only the Giants and Seahawks in targets allowed to the position. Green and teammates Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins all make for intriguing DFS options in a high-total game that might go overlooked because of the massive totals on the Week 17 slate. The Bengals should be throwing the football after the news that Joe Mixon is ruled out for the contest. Likely behind, Joe Burrow should attempt enough throws to offers all of his pass-catchers opportunities.
With 7-8 targets, Green should smash this yardage prop. The Bengals would benefit by featuring the veteran receiver as the trade deadline approaches. Green will be my lone over of the week.
My Pick: Over 47.5 Receiving Yards -110
