It’s unknown at the moment what that restriction will be but given the time he’s missed, it’s hard to justify Carter Jr. as a DFS option on this slate. His return will hurt Wagner and Bamba to some degree, depending on how much he plays. It’s possible Carter Jr. hurts Chuma Okeke more in the second unit if they decide to limit his playing time and ramp him up slowly.

Stephen Curry will play Friday, per beat writer Anthony Slater. There’s no surprise here but there was some risk as Curry played 44 minutes in an overtime loss last night. It’s worth noting that Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala are all out for this game, while Andrew Wiggins has been downgraded to questionable this afternoon. It wouldn’t shock me if Curry had his minutes monitored tonight, but he still makes for an elite GPP option given the matchup against the Rockets.

The Warriors are already without Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala, so Wiggins’ absence on this backend of a back-to-back would be a huge blow for this offense. This season when all four have been off the court, Stephen Curry has averaged 1.47 fantasy points per minute while Jordan Poole has averaged 1.26 fantasy points per minute.

Rudy Gobert (ankle) is now questionable on Friday. With Hassan Whiteside already out, the Jazz may be forced to lean on Udoka Azubuike more in a spot start with Eric Paschall playing more backup minutes. The Jazz could also be forced to go smaller out of necessity. Down Donovan Mitchell already, Gobert being out too would open up even more usage for Jordan Clarkson, who leads the team in usage with a 31% usage rate when Mitchell is out.

Killian Tillie (health protocols) has been upgraded to questionable on Friday. His return would cut into the playing time of Santi Aldama, who has been covering for Tillie in the rotation while Tillie has been out due to health protocols.

Nic Claxton (hamstring) is trending towards likely being out on Friday while DeAndre’ Bembry remains a game-time decision. With Claxton out, the Nets likely turn to Day’Ron Sharpe again for a spot start, with LaMarcus Aldridge backing him up in a revenge narative. Both Claxton and Aldridge would hold some GPP appeal. Bembry’s status would impact more of the fringe secondary players like Bruce Brown and Kessler Edwards. Edwards played 35 minutes last game but with Kyrie Irving and James Harden around him, his usage remains fairly low.

It shouldn’t have too much of a DFS impact on a larger slate like tonight’s.
