Jabari Parker ruled out for Wednesday
Not only will Parker miss the opener, he’ll be joined in street clothes by Giannis Antetokounmpo and O.J. Mayo. As a result, Khris Middleton (who is priced at a very fair $6.1K on FanDuel) should see as much playing time as he can handle. Middleton is going to need to carry more of the offensive load as long as the Bucks are shorthanded, which is great news for his DFS value considering he’s a solid contributor in other stat categories. Chris Copeland may start alongside Middleton, and would become an interesting punt play on FanDuel at $3,800 if he draws the start.

Steven Adams starting for OKC, Kanter off the bench
As expected, the Thunder have listed Steven Adams as the starting center for Wednesday’s game. That means Enes Kanter will be playing off the bench to start the season, which hurts the DFS value of both players. They’ll eat into each other’s minutes quite a bit, but Kanter may benefit from playing with the second unit, as he’s not going to be a primary option with the first unit as long as Durant and Westbrook are healthy. The Thunder also announced that Andre Roberson will start at SG, but he’s not a viable DFS play.

Rick Carlisle hasn’t commented on the specifics of the restrictions, but it’s clear that Williams and Matthews will not be playing big minutes early in the season. Both players are questionable for tomorrow night’s opener, and neither will be DFS options as long as the minutes restriction is in play. J.J. Barea, Raymond Felton and Devin Harris stand to benefit in terms of playing time while Williams and Matthews are banged up, but that trio can be ignored for DFS purposes.
