Ravens 'hopeful' Steve Smith Returns This Week
Coach John Harbaugh said Monday he is “hopeful” Steve Smith Sr. (back) will return in Week 6 at San Francisco.
36-year-old Smith is dealing with four microfractures in his back, and his ability to resume playing in games may come down to pain tolerance. Smith has had an extended rest period; he last played on Thursday Night Football in Week 4. If Smith is unable to go in Week 6, Kamar Aiken will once again act as the #1 WR in the Ravens offense, and makes for a nice GPP punt play. Aiken should see roughly 7-8 targets in that scenario, with Marlon Brown acting as the #2 WR.
