Quarterback Quick Hits
- #1 – Drew Brees – (CAR@NO) Yes I know Carolina is a good defense. However the Saints are a GREAT offense at home. This game is crucial to the playoffs and the eventual Super Bowl representative. No way Brees gets held down at home. An added bonus is that everyone will be scared off by the matchup.
- #2 – Tony Romo – (DAL@CHI) I’m expecting this to be the major high scoring game of the weekend. These are 2 defenses that are just sad. The only thing that will hold Romo back is DeMarco Murray scoring too much. We’ll deal with him later in the article
- #3 – Nick Foles – (DET@PHI) Detroit had a fairly nice defensive effort last week but it was against Matt Flynn. Foles has been money this year and this game could be a shootout, weather conditions pending
- #4 – Carson Palmer – (STL@ARI) Quietly Palmer is on fire right now. 2 big keys to his success-1 is the offensive line is doing just enough to keep him upright and 2 is that he has 2 great WR’s to throw to. Fitz and Floyd just make great plays for him.
- #5 – Matthew Stafford – (DET@PHI) Philly’s secondary isn’t very stout. Stafford should have a good game
- #6 – Joe Flacco – (MIN@BAL) This would be a value play. His salary is just low enough to consider him in this top 10 due to the weak competition.
- #7 – Josh McCown – (DAL@CHI) I mentioned this game will be a shootout and McCown should be in the middle of it. If Cutler is named the starter then I would move Cutler up this list even more.
- #8 – Eli Manning – (NYG@SD) Yes I am sick and tired of playing this guy and not being rewarded also. But every time you look it seems he has a premier matchup
- #9 – Peyton Manning – (TEN@DEN) Price is high and that’s why he is lower on the list. But I don’t think there is any doubt he will put up a solid amount of fantasy points in this game
- #10 – Cam Newton – (CAR@NO) As hot as any QB right now and he has this big time game on national TV. Throw the defensive rankings out the window in this one

Chop’s Top-10 Running Backs on Draftstreet This Week
| 1 | Matt Forte | $13926 | 2 | Jamaal Charles | $13762 | 3 | Ben Tate | $9893 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| | | ||||||
| 4 | Eddie Lacy | $11248 | 5 | Knowshon Moreno | $12839 | 6 | DeMarco Murray | $12174 |
| | | ||||||
| 7 | Adrian Peterson | $12542 | 8 | LeSean McCoy | $11639 | 9 | Andre Brown | $11104 |
| | | ||||||
| 10 | Reggie Bush | $10998 | ||||||
| ||||||||
Running Back Quick Hits
- #1 – Matt Forte – (DAL@CHI) Now the Bears can’t defend the run worth a lick, but the Cowboys are pretty bad themselves. I’m expecting a solid game out of Forte in this shootout
- #2 – Jamaal Charles – (KC@WAS) He has been quiet lately and now gets a solid matchup with a team ready to pack it in
- #3 – Ben Tate – (HOU@JAC) Dam you Ben Tate. I played you for 2 straight weeks with no results then fade you and you blow up. Nice matchup for him here and I would expect a decent game
- #4 – Eddie Lacy – (ATL@GB) Lacy draws a good matchup. The major problem with Lacy is that his QB is hurting his value so much right now
- #5 – Knowshon Moreno – (TEN@DEN) Unless he gets hurt then Moreno will stay smack dab I the middle of this list every week. That is the consistency factor when dealing with a Peyton Manning RB
- #6 – DeMarco Murray – (DAL@CHI) Oh man, the Bears can stop no one on the ground this year. If the Cowboys choose to feed Murray he can run for another 3 TD’s. My guess is that he nabs 2 TD’s and Romo throws for 3 also.
- #7 – Adrian Peterson – (MIN@BAL) Slides lower down on the list even after a 200 yard game due to a tougher matchup. He is matchup proof, but his salary makes his a tough roster
- #8 – LeSean McCoy – (DET@PHI) As Foles prospers, Shady is not doing so great. He was a much more effective runner with Michael Vick at QB. The numbers back that up. But this is still a decent matchup for him
- #9 – Andre Brown – (NYG@SD) SD presents a tough challenge against the run but Brown is doing well as the bell cow RB.
- #10 – Reggie Bush – (DET@PHI) I just expect plenty of points in this game and Bush is so heavily involved in the pass game also that he makes for a nice play.

Chop’s Top-10 Wide Receivers on Draftstreet This Week
| 1 | Calvin Johnson | $16383 | 2 | Brandon Marshall | $12863 | 3 | Andre Johnson | $11357 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| | | ||||||
| 4 | Josh Gordon | $13013 | 5 | Demaryius Thomas | $11124 | 6 | A.J. Green | $12626 |
| | | ||||||
| 7 | Antonio Brown | $10678 | 8 | DeSean Jackson | $10945 | 9 | Dez Bryant | $12900 |
| | | ||||||
| 10 | Larry Fitzgerald | $10593 | ||||||
| ||||||||
Wide Receiver Quick Hits
- #1 – Calvin Johnson – (DET@PHI) Even at a high price tag I would expect Megatron to be the most highly owned player this weekend.
- #2 – Brandon Marshall – (DAL@CHI) Alshon got his this past weekend and I don’t think Marshall takes a back seat 2 weeks in a row. This matchup is great for him
- #3 – Andre Johnson – (HOU@JAC) Jax shut him down 2 weeks ago but I don’t see how they could do it again.
- #4 – Josh Gordon – (CLE@NE) This matchup is scary, but id Talib is still hurting then he will be no match for Gordon. Believe it or not this guy is neck and neck with Megatron for the best statistical season for a WR right now. He averages more yards per game than CJ.
- #5 – Demaryius Thomas – (TEN@DEN) Well played Decker…now step back in line and let DT eat
- #6 – A.J. Green – (IND@CIN) What Indy chooses to do to cover Green is going to dictate whether or not he has a good game. If they double or bracket him then he will be held in check. If they shadow him with Davis then they are screwed. I just wish that red headed douche would throw this kid the ball more accurately
- #7 – Antonio Brown – (MIA@PIT) He got limited vs. a tough defense last weekend but now gets a better matchup at home. He has been a stud all year
- #8 – DeSean Jackson – (DET@PHI) DeSean has been struggling a bit and I think it has a little to do with some minor injuries. Hopefully he shakes it off because this is a good matchup
- #9 – Dez Bryant – (DAL@CHI) If Murray doesn’t take all the scores then Dez is sure to get a piece of the pie also
- #10 – Larry Fitzgerald – (STL@ARI) Playing well and getting the red zone looks

Chop’s Top-5 Tight Ends on Draftstreet This Week
| 1 | Rob Gronkowski | $12785 | 2 | Jimmy Graham | $11023 | 3 | Jason Witten | $8058 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| | | ||||||
| 4 | Vernon Davis | $8373 | 5 | Coby Fleener | $6483 | |||
| | |||||||
Tight End Quick Hits
- #1 – Rob Gronkowski – (CLE@NE) With Graham being banged up he is the best TE in fantasy right now
- #2 – Jimmy Graham – (CAR@NO) This game is huge for the Saints and it should be all hands on deck
- #3 – Jason Witten – (DAL@CHI) The Bears are pathetic on defense and have been notoriously bad about guarding TE’s
- #4 – Vernon Davis – (SEA@SF) Another big game and Vernon should be the main weapon used by Kaepernick
- #5 – Coby Fleener – (IND@CIN) Fleener has been very good since the Wayne injury.
