What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9.5
- Favored Team – BAL -140
Pitcher Grind Down
BAL – Wei-Yin Chen is making his first start since May 12. I typically don’t like to take pitchers making their first start back from the DL and the fact that he faces a hot Rangers lineup makes this decision even easier. Avoid
TEX – Josh Lindblom is risky. He is a young pitcher that doesn’t really have a lot of experience. If this matchup was against the Astros, I would maybe consider it, but the Orioles have too many weapons. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
BAL – Vegas loves the Orioles tonight against Lindblom and I do too. Nate McLouth, Manny Machado, Adam Jones, and Chris Davis all hit righties well and are all in play tonight. Oh, and don’t forget about Nick Markakis either.
TEX – Hopefully you took my advice and played a few of the Rangers bats last night, especially Adrian Beltre. He is on fire right now and should be in your lineup against the lefty Chen. Also, whenever the Rangers face a lefty, you have to consider both Cruz and Kinsler.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9.0
- Favored Team – NYY -140
Pitcher Grind Down
NYY – When I take pitchers, I like to take guys with a ton of upside and a guy like Ivan Nova can certainly give you that when he is on. The problem with Nova is that he has just as much downside as he does upside and the matchup against the Royals isn’t the best. They don’t strike out. In Play
KC – Wade Davis has been pitching better, but he is still Wade Davis and there is no way that I’m going to spend my salary on him. His ERA on the road is close to 7 and the Yankees have plenty of left hand bats to throw at him.
Batter Grind Down
NYY – Even though Robinson Cano is only 5/18 against Davis, he is one of my favorite plays of the day today. Cano crushes right hand pitching and has been steadily producing over the last few games. Now it’s time for some power, I think he has a great chance to get a hold of one tonight. Brett Gardner is another guy to look at because he is cheap.
KC – Billy Butler has homered in back to back games and will try to make it three in a row against Nova. He has had some success against him going 4/6. For my money, I think I would rather have Alex Gordon though, he has been on fire lately.

TOR vs R | TOR BvP | CLE vs R | CLE BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – CLE -152
Pitcher Grind Down
CLE – You are going to have to have some cojones to play Masterson against the Blue Jays tonight, but it’s a risk that could pay off big. Masterson has been great at home all season long with a 2.93 ERA and a 1.210 WHIP while averaging around 10 K’s per 9 innings. The Blue Jays are tough, but I like Masterson. In Play
TOR – Nothing against Esmil Rogers, I would just rather take someone who has bigger upside and a better matchup. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
CLE – I can never seem to predict which Indians bats are going to have a good game so I will just say that the team is in a good spot against Rogers and that they are in play.
TOR – Jose Bautista is the only Blue Jays hitter that will be in the lineup with a good history against Masterson. I wouldn’t pay the price for him though because he likely won’t have many at bats with runners in scoring position.

OAK vs L | OAK BvP | PIT vs L | PIT BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.0
- Favored Team – PIT -131
Pitcher Grind Down
PIT – Francisco Liriano has been great in almost every start this season, that one start that he wasn’t so great just happens to be the time that I took him. Right when I finally bought into him he let me down. Then after that he started rollin once again. His 2.05 ERA at home and 1.17 WHIP make him a great option even against this tough A’s lineup. Target
OAK – Tommy Milone hasn’t been great in his last 5 starts. He’s allowed 18 earned runs while only striking out 16 batters. He has also struggled on the road in his career and I think if you are going to take a pitcher from this game, the better option is Liriano. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
PIT – Whenever I see a lefty against the Pirates, I immediately see if I can get Andrew McCutchen into my lineups. He is batting .339 against lefties and batting .345 at home and he gets both of those tonight.
OAK – Liriano is pitching well right now, I think it’s safe to avoid the A’s bats.

MIN vs R | MIN BvP | TBR vs R | TBR BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.0
- Favored Team – TB -178
Pitcher Grind Down
TB – I really like the way Jeremy Hellickson has pitched over his last 4 starts. Over those starts, he is 4-0 with 26 innings pitched, 23 strike outs, and only 4 earned runs. He has a good matchup against the Twins tonight who couldn’t muster up much against Archer last night. Target
MIN – Kevin Correia is never on my radar thanks to his low K rate and his average ERA, especially when he faces a good offense. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
TB – Desmond Jennings is red hot right now and should be taken until he cools off, especially on sites that adjust prices more slowly. Also like the matchup for Evan Longoria and Matt Joyce.
MIN – Joe Mauer is about the only Twins bat that has been on my radar lately and it will remain that way tonight. He is 3/3 off of Hellickson but likely won’t get many RBI opportunities.
