What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: This looks like an MME slate for me. There are just too many similarly great options on both sides to be able to narrow down to 1 lineup. We also don’t have any mega chalk to give a big edge by fading anything in smaller-field tournaments. However, even if you have 150 lineups, you can’t get close to covering all of the bases, so I still want to find a narrowed-down pool on both the pitching and hitting sides. I’m going to end up a little more focused on the pitching side, with Bryan Woo, Logan Webb, and Zebby Matthews as my highest-owned pitchers, and then I will have more like 10 offenses in the primary pool. The way the matchups work out, I’m also quite interested in mini stacks. With those lineups, I’ll add more cheap pitching into my pool, like Dean Kremer, Michael Wacha, Jose Soriano, and Kyle Freeland.
stevietpfl: This looks like a large-field contests slate for me. I want to build around Bryan Woo, Zebby Matthews, and Logan Webb. I see 8 to 10 offenses that have similar upside. I will spread out my ownership on those stacks while focusing my pitching exposure on those three pitchers. I’ll take some shots on Nick Martinez, Will Warren, and Jose Soriano as well.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – Paying up for pitching will be a priority for me, as I do not like any of the cheaper options available. Bryan Woo immediately stands out as my top overall option, and I will do my best to pair him with guys like Logan Webb and/or Shota Imanaga. Outside of the Yankees, I will lean into some of the cheaper stacks, like the Orioles and Astros, in order to fit in my high-priced aces.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. Despite there being 13 games on the slate, pitching depth is lacking, so I expect to have at least one of Bryan Woo or Logan Webb in every DK lineup I make. I don’t really love the mid-tier, so I’d likely jump down to Zebby Matthews or Dean Kremer. The Astros are my favorite way to double-barrel at pitcher and pay up for a big bat or two.
