What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: Until we get a few starts in to know where these pitchers stand, I’m going to lean towards MME contests. The less we know, the more I want to play a little bit of everything. In smaller-field contests, we still do have some favorites to lean on, and I’m going to be heaviest on the Diamondbacks, so long as it continues to look like Boston will be picking up more of the pOWN%. I have a relatively small pitcher pool for single entry, as I’ll be focusing on Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Luis Castillo, with Mitch Keller and Jeffrey Springs in the mid-tier, along with Tylor Megill where I need a cheap dart.

stevietpfl: I prefer smaller-field tournaments. It’s the second day of the season, so I won’t lock into anything, and pitching is a lot worse than it was on Opening Day. I’m willing to be overweight on some pitchers in better matchups even with their lack of upside compared to others. I’m not too worried about ownership on hitters/stacks.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – We are still getting a feel for how things will shake out this early in the season, so I plan to get exposure to plenty of different stacks, hoping for a big offensive outburst. I prefer to pay up for pitching as much as possible tonight, where the top tier of pitchers has much more upside despite not being fully stretched out.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I don’t really have a super obvious favorite among the slate’s top SPs (Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Luis Castillo, Jack Flaherty, Mitch Keller, Dylan Cease), as they are collectively pretty similar to me, with no must-haves. With that in mind, I will have my eye on pOWN% to help guide my final pitching decisions. I’m not going to fully cross them out, but I expect to be under the field on Rafael Devers in my Boston stacks and Mookie Betts in my Dodgers stacks.
