MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, May 19

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I am going to be picky with my stacks today. There are quite a few different ways you can build lineups. I will be underweight on Boston, as I am worried about all the pinch hit risk for the right-handed bats that will undoubtedly start against Matthew Liberatore. However. Liberatore is only going to throw about 60 pitches, so we might see some of them only get two at-bats against him before being removed. My favorite offenses are the Yankees, Royals, Brewers, and Rays in terms of stacking.

Krayton: I will paying down at pitcher quite a bit, with Tanner Bibee as my top option, and I will be overweight on Alek Manoah as an SP2. I will be overweight on the Yankees today, as they are in a great spot once again. With Corbin Burnes being highly owned today, I will be very underweight on him, as the Mariners are starting to put up some numbers.

tcsmith031: I’ll roll with a tight pitching pool this afternoon. Aaron Nola, Corbin Burnes, and Carlos Rodon are all in attackable spots, while I’ll take some shots on Alek Manoah and Sean Manaea for salary relief in tournaments. Brady Singer, George Kirby, and Jameson Taillon are a few decent pitchers I’m unlikely to have a ton of exposure to on this slate.

TJ Zwarych: Alek Manoah has had one good game back in the majors and one in which he was lights out in AAA. Outside of those two starts, he has been absolutely awful. He’s far too cheap for his ceiling, but there’s also a really low floor. He’ll be my highest-owned SP2, and I’ll be making sure to stack against him as much as possible as well in my 150-max build.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
