MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, April 1

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stevietpfl: Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Notorious: Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
TJ Zwarych: Kyle Schwarber

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in large-field tournaments?

stevietpfl: Kyle Schwarber
Notorious: Aaron Judge (FD) / Austin Riley (DK)
TJ Zwarych: George Springer

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stevietpfl: I prefer small-field contests on this slate. I will make 3-5 lineups and spread out my pitching exposure. With FanDuel and DraftKings having different slates, it offers up different builds. I think we have a couple extra stacking spots on DraftKings and a little more pitching on FanDuel. I’m going to build around the Blue Jays on both sites. I think the biggest thing today is to not overthink pitching. I want to pay up for pitching as much as possible.

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I’m going to make 1 lineup, and it’s going to feature a lot of stars and a lot of scrubs. I’m planning to spend up at pitching (e.g. Cristopher Sanchez, Kevin Gausman) and squeeze in my favorite expensive bats (e.g. Trea Turner, Vladimir Guerrero Jr.). From there, I’m going to fill out my lineup with a bunch of cheap value plays.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’ll be loading up on the Blue Jays and Braves (on DK), while getting overweight on teams I find sneaky (e.g. White Sox, Marlins). I’ll still play a ton of the expensive pitchers like Chris Sale (on DK) and Cristopher Sanchez, but I think there are a few great cheap options as well (e.g. Jacob Misiorowski, Matthew Boyd, Yusei Kikuchi).

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
