MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, April 17
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
squirrelpatrol: Shohei Ohtani
stevietpfl: Christian Walker
TheLuuch: Shohei Ohtani
Alex Sonty: Mookie Betts
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
squirrelpatrol: I’ll continue to spend down at pitcher, looking for lower-owned plays that have good matchups, while I spend up for my hitters, finding stacks that have power and speed potential. I particularly like the idea on larger slates of pairing some of the higher-owned, more expensive stacks, like the Dodgers, with lower-owned, lower-cost stacks, like the Brewers or Mariners.
stevietpfl: We have an 11-game slate, and I think there are at least 10 teams that have the upside to score 10+ runs. I’m going to prioritize hitting and focus on 5/3, 4/4, and 3/3/2 stacks. With this many games, I’m not worried about ownership and will build the stacks I think have the highest ceiling. As far as pitching, I think there are 6-8 viable options. I’m going to build the stacks I want and spread out my pitching exposure.
TheLuuch: Play cheaper pitching to get the bats that I want. I love Tarik Skubal, but the weather concerns combined with a tough matchup are enough for me to back off.
Alex Sonty: In my single-entry lineup, I’m fading Tarik Skubal and Freddy Peralta. Both are facing projected lineups with sub-20% K rates since the start of the 2023 season, and the projected ownership is just too high. I’ll be camping out in the Pablo Lopez and Luis Severino portion of the field. If Steven Matz gets overlooked, gimme some of that against the A’s.
