CheeseIsGood, a two-time winner of a $1,000,000 first-place prize in DFS, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.
Happy Wednesday! We’ve got a split slate kind of day with games spread out all over the place. I’ll start with a quick look at the early 5-game DK and 6-game FD slate. The DK slate starts at 1:05 PM ET, while FD gets going even earlier at 12:35 PM ET.
After that, the main slate is also a little earlier than usual, with an 8-gamer starting at 6:35 PM ET. So let’s not waste any time and dive straight into some MLB DFS picks.
Wednesday Afternoon Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

Well, this is a garbage fire. We have Freddy Peralta to end up as massive chalk and then a bunch of meh. It’s a little better on FD where we get two more options tossed in, but the DK side is going to leave you feeling icky about your lineups.
These Are Pitchers
Freddy Peralta vs. Tigers – 26.3% K, 8.7% BB, 3.67 ERA, 3.75 SIERA
Domingo German at Twins – 21.8% K, 6.8% BB, 3.80 ERA, 4.04 SIERA
Tanner Houck at Orioles – 23.4% K, 9% BB, 3.44 ERA, 3.65 SIERA
Yusei Kikuchi vs. White Sox – 26.7% K, 11.7% BB, 4.94 ERA, 3.98 SIERA
German Marquez at Guardians – 19.4% K, 7.7% BB, 4.91 ERA, 4.21 SIERA
Kenta Maeda vs. Yankees
Michael Kopech at Blue Jays – 21.7% K, 12% BB, 4.05 ERA, 4.78 SIERA
Tyler Wells vs. Red Sox – 18.1% K, 5.9% BB, 3.97 ERA, 4.49 SIERA
Michael Lorenzen at Brewers – 21.1% K, 10.4% BB, 4.39 ERA, 4.38 SIERA
Jon Gray at Reds (FanDuel)
Tanner Bibee vs. Rockies (FanDuel)
I would love nothing more than to be able to make a strong case to fade a chalky Freddy Peralta, but the rest of this slate is going to make that really tough, at least on DK. He is an inefficient pitcher with per-inning upside, but that upside is usually thwarted by his control. Between his strikeout ability and the huge strikeout numbers in the Tigers lineup, there is just too good a mix of floor and ceiling here to overthink it on this slate. I can see a scenario where Peralta allows five runs in four innings and still ends up in the winning lineup.
