CheeseIsGood, a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.
Happy Wednesday! We’ve got a big 12-game slate, with the sites starting early at 6:35 p.m. ET to accommodate several early start times. This is a very tricky slate with a ton of very good pitchers in tough matchups. This leads to almost no top-tier offense, and a case can be made to spread out far and wide on both sides of the ledger.
I’m going to land on a smaller pitching pool, though that is somewhat dependent on the SF/BAL game not worsening from its Yellow rating from Kevin Roth’s MLB weather forecast to start the day, so be sure to check back in on that later.
If you’re playing the early slate that locks at 2:20 p.m. ET, we’ll have Expert Tags in our MLB lineup optimizer, LineupHQ, to help get you started.

Wednesday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings
We have another day with a huge group of high end pitchers, but most of whom are in tough matchups. Just like the past couple of days, I am going to quickly cross a bunch of good pitchers off the primary list, but every one of these guys is playable if you are in a spread-it-out kind of mood.

Bowden Francis at Rangers – 22.5% K, 5.5% BB, 3.50 ERA, 3.89 SIERA

Ryan Pepiot vs. Red Sox – 24.8% K, 8.8% BB, 3.76 ERA, 4.02 SIERA
This is a very tough tier to break down, but we do have a couple of guys up top that separate themselves a little.
Tarik Skubal is the most consistent ace with the best overall skill set on this slate. The matchup is not great, but matchup hardly matters for him. But I will say that on a loaded slate like this, it’s not ideal to spend this much salary on a pitcher with a somewhat limited pitch count ceiling in a less-than-ideal matchup. If salary is no issue at all, I’ll just start with Skubal, but in reality, I don’t think I’m going to get to him as my primary SP1.
The guy I’ll be starting with instead is…
