MLB DFS Picks: Top Stacks for Monday, June 23rd

Opto% Stack

Yankees vs. Nick Lodolo

The Yankees present a compelling MLB DFS stack option against Nick Lodolo, as reflected by their top optimal stack rate and 3rd-best stack rating in our projections. Their implied run total of 5.18 runs further underscores their upside potential in this matchup.

While Lodolo is a capable LHP who throws a lot of strikes and generally induces neutral batted ball outcomes, he does not present an overwhelming obstacle for the Yankees’ power-laden lineup. Key to the Yankees’ appeal is their righties ability to punish LHP. Aaron Judge and Paul Goldschmidt are especially dangerous in this context.

Even with Giancarlo Stanton’s recent struggles, his discounted DFS price and historic upside make him a viable inclusion for those willing to bet on a return to form.

Opto% Stack

Braves vs. Paul Blackburn

The Braves are a solid MLB DFS stack today against Paul Blackburn, boasting the best stack rating, the 2nd-best optimal stack rate, and a strong value ranking (6th-best Value%) in our projections. Their implied run total of 4.5 runs highlights solid scoring expectations.

Blackburn’s struggles against righties are a key reason to target Atlanta: since the start of last season, he has allowed a concerning .242 ISO to righties while striking out just 16.3% of them, making him vulnerable to power bats.

Ronald Acuna and Austin Riley stand out as top individual plays, given their right-handed power profiles and the matchup’s potential for home runs. While righties have the clearest path to upside, left-handed Braves hitters and full team stacks remain viable due to Atlanta’s overall offensive depth and the favorable projections.
