Pitcher Grind Down
Danny Salazar – Salazar has the talent, but has struggled out of the gate this season. After 4 starts, he is 0-3 with a 7.85 ERA while allowing opponents to hit 3.47 off of him. He is striking guys out like advertised with 23 in 18 innings. I am avoiding him until he shows that he can keep guys off base. Rating = 4
Ryan Vogelsong – Vogelsong has been awful this season and is coming off his worst performance yet. He currently has an ERA of 7.71 and a WHIP of 1.96. He is allowing hitters to bat .348 against him and Lefties are scorching him with a .436 OBP and .778 SLG. He should be avoided in all games. Rating = 2

Cleveland
Michael Brantley – Brantley is someone that I have been targeting a bunch this year. He is hitting .321 with runners in scoring position and that should be the case again today. Lefties have crushed Vogelsong and I think it will continue today.
- Additional Plays: Jason Kipnis Carlos Santana Asdrubal Cabrera
San Francisco
Brandon Belt – Belt is consistently hitting in the 3 spot in the Giants lineup and could run into one against Salazar. He comes into this game with 7 home runs on the season while slugging against RH pitching for .574.
Additional Plays: Buster Posey Angel Pagan

Pitcher Grind Down
Matt Harrison – Harrison is getting his first start of the season against the Mariners. Harrison was hurt for almost the entire 2013 season, after having a good 2012. It is really tough to gauge what he will do but, when he was good, his K/9 was at 5.6, making him safe to avoid in all leagues. Rating = 3
Brandon Maurer – Maurer surprised us all by not getting crushed against the Mariners last Sunday. He only made it 4.1 innings, but gave up just 2 hits and 1 run. Last year, Maurer was allowing batters to hit .311 against him with 16 home runs in 89 innings. Texas bats should have a good chance to light him up today. Rating = 2
Batter Grind Down
Texas
Prince Fielder – With Beltre back in this lineup it really gives Prince a lot more protection. Fielder’s price is way down as his struggles have continued, but a matchup against a subpar RH pitcher should exactly be what Prince needs.
- Additional Plays: Adrian Beltre Alex Rios Mitch Moreland
Seattle
Corey Hart – There is a lot to be unsure of with how Harrison will pitch today. A mini Seattle stack is not out of the question due to Harrison needing to shake off the rust. Hart has hit lefties well during his career and could be in for a big day.
- Additional Plays: Robinson Cano
Colorado at LA Dodgers

Pitcher Grind Down
Jorge De La Rosa – De La Rosa has been awful away from Coors this yea with a 7.98 ERA. He gets a matchup with the Dodgers that have a lot of RH power bats in their lineup. He will have to be careful with this Dodger team that has roughed him up over the last 3 seasons (6.00 ERA, .326 AVG). Rating = 3
Hyun-Jin Ryu – Ryu has had one poor start and 5 very good ones. In those other 5 he shutout his opponents in 4 o games and allowed just 2 earned runs last game. His K numbers are decent (7.41 K/9) and comes into this game as the biggest favorite on the board today. Colorado has hit Lefties well early on in the season and Ryu’s number in Vegas is dropping pretty rapidly, which makes me think about picking one of the other elite options today. Rating = 7
Batter Grind Down
Los Angeles Dodgers
Hanley Ramirez – Hanley is my top SS of the day as he gets a great matchup against the LH De La Rosa. Hanley is a lot cheaper than Tulo and has the better matchup in my opinion. Ramirez has a good small history against De La Rosa (11 for 26, 1 home run) and should have a good day.
- Additional Plays: Juan Uribe Yasiel Puig *
Colorado
Although I may be looking for other elite options, Ryu has shown the capability to shut opponents down this season. I will not be taking any inflated Colorado salaries away from Coors today.

Pitcher Grind Down
A.J. Burnett – Burnett has carried over a lot of last year’s success into this season. His 2.73 ERA and 20 strikeouts get to face the last place Diamondbacks. Although the Diamondbacks have struggled, they are putting up a decent amount of runs against RH pitching (10th in the league). This game has the highest over/under on the board at 9’ so I will be avoiding the pitchers. Rating = 5
Brandon McCarthy – McCarthy has already allowed 37 hits in 30 innings this season. He is striking guys out, but allowing guys on base has resulted in a terrible 6.23 ERA. McCarthy will be a guy I am going to target against today. Rating = 2
Batter Grind Down
Philadelphia
Chase Utley – Utley is my top 2nd base option on the day as he has the best matchup in a hitters park with a high over/under. Everything falls into place for Chase who is absolutely mashing so far this season hitting .353 overall. Look for Utley to be a great GPP and Cash game play today.
- Additional Plays: Ryan Howard Jimmy Rollins Domonic Brown
Arizona
Miguel Montero – Burnett is allowing LH batters to hit over .300 against him early on this season. Make sure Montero is playing today as Sunday could be his day off. If he is playing, he should be in the cleanup spot today.
LA Angels at NY Yankees

Pitcher Grind Down
Garrett Richards – Richards has been a good target this year due to his low salary and 8.64 K/9 potential. He comes into this game with a 2.52 ERA, but has not played many high powered offenses yet (HOU, SEA, WSH and OAK). Tonight he will be pitching on Sunday Night Baseball against a Yankees team that can score in bunches Rating = 5
Masahiro Tanaka – The Yankees are really getting their money’s worth with Tanaka. He already has 35 strikeouts in his first 29.1 innings while only giving up 2 walks. His ability to give free passes and his ridiculous strikeout rate make him a great option any time he takes the mound. He his a big favorite, but will be facing a decent Angels team with some hot bats in it. Tanaka is still someone I will be targeting tonight. Rating = 8
Batter Grind Down
New York Yankees
Jacoby Ellsbury – Any time Ellsbury gets a RH pitcher I feel he makes a great cash and GPP play. He does a bit of everything and enters the game hitting .322 with 11 RBIs. I expect those RBI numbers to increase here soon and should be able to eventually start hitting the ball over that right field wall at Yankee Stadium.
- Additional Plays: Carlos Beltran Brett Gardner *
Anaheim
Tanaka K’s like crazy and guys like Pujols and Trout are streaking, but too expensive to take against Tanaka today.
