Chad Billingsley : FD: $4,800 — DK: $4,300
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 21.0 — SIERA: 5.16 — K%: 8.0% — BB%: 6.0% — FB Rate: 32.5% — HR/FB: 11.1%

Los Angeles Dodgers Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.338 (Rank: 1) — Strikeout Rate: 19.8% (Rank: 16)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.295 (Rank: 21) — Strikeout Rate: 23.8% (Rank: 27)
Pitchers per PA: 3.89 (Rank: 4)
Analysis: Billingsley is the worst pitching option on the board tonight. That’s an impressive feat, considering the fact that there is a game in Coors Field. On the season, he owns a 5.16 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 8.0%. Tonight he faces a Dodgers’ offense that is ranked first in wOBA (.338) against right-handed pitching. If he is on your radar, I suggest getting a new one.
Pitcher Rating:20.0
Brett Anderson : FD: $7,900 — DK: $7,600
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 139.1 — SIERA: 3.30 — K%: 17.3% — BB%: 6.9% — FB Rate: 20.0% — HR/FB: 9.5%

Philadelphia Phillies Offense (2015)
vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.310 (Rank: 13) — Strikeout Rate: 19.6% (Rank: 10)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.332 (Rank: 7) — Strikeout Rate: 17.7% (Rank: 5)
Pitchers per PA: 3.71 (Rank: 27)
Analysis: Anderson has pitched well this season and comes into tonight’s start as the biggest favorite on the board. Even if he gives up a few runs, he will likely still be in line for the win. He is expected to receive a ton of run support tonight with Chad Billingsley pitching opposite him. The matchup against the Philllies may not be as good as it appears though. They are actually ranked 13th in wOBA (.310) and tenth in strikeout rate (19.6%) against left-handed pitching this season. He could provide a cheap win, but I like Taijuan Walker upside a bit more at a similar price point.
Pitcher Rating:77.0

ALL HAIL CESAR! Hernandez has been on an absolute tear recently and he should continue on your radar tonight at second base. Brett Anderson has given up a .308 wOBA to right-handed hitters, which also brings Maikel Franco into the mix.

LA Dodgers
While the sample size is small, it’s hard to ignore the gigantic elephant in the room that is Chad Billingley’s .559 wOBA allowed to left-handed hitters this season. The right-handed bats in this lineup are also in play, but the left-handed bats have the splits in their favor. Load up on Dodgers tonight in both cash games and tournaments.

Bartolo Colon : FD: $7,500 — DK: $7,700
Pitching Stats:

San Francisco Giants Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.324 (Rank: 6) — Strikeout Rate: 17.8% (Rank: 5)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.324 (Rank: 10) — Strikeout Rate: 22.1% (Rank: 23)
Pitchers per PA: 3.73 (Rank: 25)
Analysis: Colon has bounced back after a few down weeks. Over the last 30 days, he has a 3.62 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 18.2%. He’s still a risky fantasy option though, and his strikeout potential is low tonight against the Giants. There are better pitching options at his price point.
Pitcher Rating:54.1
Matt Cain : FD: $7,200 — DK: $7,000
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 95.1 — SIERA: 4.26 — K%: 18.1% — BB%: 9.0% — FB Rate: 35.4% — HR/FB: 14.9%

New York Mets Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.286 (Rank: 29) — Strikeout Rate: 20.6% (Rank: 22)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.250 (Rank: 30) — Strikeout Rate: 22.6% (Rank: 24)
Pitchers per PA: 3.86 (Rank: 8)
Analysis: Cain struggled in his first start back from injury. He’ll look for a better outing tonight against a Mets’ offense that is ranked 29th in wOBA (.286) and 22nd in strikeout rate (20.6%) against right-handed pitching this season. The favorable matchup is appealing, but I’d like to see a quality start or two from Cain before targeting him in daily leagues.

NY Mets
The Mets are one of the worst offenses in all of baseball. You can easily avoid them altogether tonight, but if you want some exposure to the Mets, target the ones that can hit from the left side of the plate. Since the start of the 2014 season, Matt Cain has given up a .340 wOBA to left-handed hitters.

San Francisco
The Giants draw a decent matchup tonight against Bartolo Colon, who throws fastballs for about 90% of his total pitches. There are teams with better matchups though and it doesn’t make a ton of sense to spend up on the Giants at home in a pitcher-friendly ballpark. They should be considered secondary options tonight.
