Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Friday, August 10th

America’s pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.
Pitching Option
P) Masahiro Tanaka, New York Yankees (FD Price $9,600)

Tanaka has found “it” since the All-Star break. In three starts he’s pitched 19.2 IP and gone 2-0 with 26 Ks and a .223 wOBA. He faces a Texas team that is not very good away from Arlington. They own a weak .297 wOBA and a league-worst 26.0 K% on the road.
Hitting Options
C/1B) Yadier Molina, St. Louis Cardinals (FD Price $3,300)
Many catchers begin to wear down by this time in the season, but Molina has been better since the All-Star break, posting a .360 wOBA. He’s been great against RHP on the road, producing at a .403 wOBA pace.
2B) Daniel Descalso, Arizona Diamondbacks (FD Price $2,400)
He owns a .359 wOBA against RHP, but the key factor in starting Descalso on Friday is opposing starter Anthony DeSclafani is allowing LHB a .410 wOBA.
3B) Eduardo Escobar, Arizona Diamondbacks (FD Price $3,800)
After seeing the DeSclafani data we can’t help but add more Diamondbacks lefties to the lineup. Switch-hitting Escobar has a .377 wOBA against RHP and a .390 wOBA against RHP on the road.
SS) Jorge Polanco, Minnesota Twins (FD Price $2,500)
The switch-hitting Polanco is at his best as a LHB versus RHP (.346 BA, .407 wOBA). That rises to a .467 wOBA against RHP on the road after he took Corey Kluber deep Thursday night.
OF) David Peralta, Arizona Diamondbacks (FD Price $3,800)
Perhaps you haven’t noticed how well Peralta is playing this season, but he’s batting .306 with 19 HR and a .376 wOBA. He owns a .405 wOBA against RHP and has been extremely hot in August (.641 wOBA).
OF) Michael Conforto, New York Mets (FD Price $3,400)
Conforto has produced a .391 wOBA on the road against RHP and faces righty Jose Urena in Miami. Urena has not pitched well since the All-Star break allowing a .393 wOBA.
OF) Jon Jay, Arizona Diamondbacks (FD Price $2,500)
We can sneak in one more Diamondbacks lefty to face DeSclafani. Jay owns a .321 wOBA against RHP.
UTIL) Mitch Moreland, Boston Red Sox (FD Price $3,500)
Moreland has produced a .359 wOBA against RHP and will face righty Dylan Bundy, who has struggled against LHB this season (.371 wOBA).
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.
Arizona Diamondbacks — We have already stacked the lineup with four Arizona Diamondbacks lefties – Descalso, Escobar, Peralta and Jay in a solid stack.
