Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Saturday, September 1st

America’s pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.
Pitching Option
Kevin Gausman, Atlanta (FD Price $8400)
Gausman hasn’t given up a run in his last two starts and just three runs in his last four starts – all wins. He owns a .218 wOBA in August. The Braves right-hander just threw eight shutout innings against the Pirates 10 days ago. Pittsburgh’s bats were silent in August (.291 wOBA, 22.0 K %). Go with the hot arm against cold bats.

Hitting Options
C/1B) Ryan O’Hearn, Kansas City (FD Price $2600)
Right-handers still haven’t figured young O’Hearn out. He’s batting .347 with six home runs in 49 ABs against RHP (.499 wOBA) after knocking out three more hits on Friday night.
2B) Daniel Murphy, Chicago Cubs (FD Price $3900)
We have seen a slight uptick in Murphy since being traded to the Cubs nine games ago. He’s done most of his damage against RHP this season (.369 wOBA) and owns a .378 wOBA since the All-Star break. Phillies righty Zach Eflin is vulnerable to LHB (.362 wOBA).
3B) Miguel Sano, Minnesota (FD Price $3400)
This selection isn’t about Sano as much as it’s about Texas right-hander Yovani Gallardo allowing RHB a .393 wOBA.
SS) Trea Turner, Washington (FD Price $3400)
August wasn’t a very good month for opposing starter Chase Anderson (.366 wOBA allowed) including 15 earned runs in 25.2 IP. Turner owns a solid .338 wOBA at home this season.
OF) Trey Mancini, Baltimore (FD Price $3300)
Mancini woke up in August (.363 wOBA) and he’ll face the Royals’ Heath Fillmyer, who struggles with RHB (.357 wOBA).
OF) Alex Gordon, Kansas City (FD Price $3400)
Opposing starter Dylan Bundy has had no luck against LHB (.394 wOBA). Meanwhile, Gordon is still a solid option against RHP (.338 wOBA).
OF) Ben Zobrist, Chicago Cubs (FD Price $3100)
He’s quietly hitting .310 and owns a .357 wOBA against RHP on the road. The switch-hitter faces Eflin, who allows a .362 wOBA to LHB.
UTIL) Joey Wendle, Tampa Bay (FD Price $3000)
Wendle has produced a .348 wOBA on the road against RHP this season and opposing righty Shane Bieber can’t get out LHB (.387 wOBA).
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.
Chicago Cubs The Cubs can load up lefties to face Zach Eflin and that could be a solid stack. We already installed Murphy and Zobrist in our lineup. Adding Anthony Rizzo and Kyle Schwarber could be explosive.
