Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Tuesday, August 7th

America’s pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.
Pitching Option
Zack Greinke, Arizona Diamondbacks (FD Price $10,200)

Greinke is putting together another fine season (12-6, 2.96 ERA) and while his K/9 is a modest 9.34, the Phillies strike out at a very high rate (25.1 K% overall, 25.8 K% against RHP).
Hitting Options
C/1B) Francisco Cervelli, Pittsburgh Pirates (FD Price $3,400)
Hot bat meets Coors Field. Cervelli is batting .375 in August with a .403 wOBA. He is particularly deadly on the road against RHP this season (.413 wOBA).
2B) Jeff McNeil, New York Mets (FD Price $2,700)
The recent call up is on fire (.364 BA, .450 wOBA in 41 PA). Sal Romano can’t get out LHB (.385 wOBA).
3B) Kyle Seager, Seattle Mariners (FD Price $2,700)
Seager is finally starting to hit this month (.379 wOBA) and faces Bartolo Colon, who at 45 years-old and 20 starts, must be getting tired. He’s given up 16 earned runs over his last three starts (16.2 IP).
SS) Andrelton Simmons Los Angles Angels (FD Price $3,000)
The Angels shortstop owns a .333 wOBA against RHP and has raised his game in August batting .348 in (.383 wOBA).
OF) Nelson Cruz, Seattle Mariners (FD Price $4,100)
Another hitter swinging a hot bat this month, Cruz owns a .501 wOBA in August and overall has produced a .372 wOBA against RHP.
OF) Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Angels (FD Price $3,200)
All of Ohtani’s 16 home runs this season have come against RHP where he owns a .307 BA and a .422 wOBA. He will face Jacob Turner who is expected to fill the rotation spot for just-traded Mike Fiers. Turner gave up eight earned runs in one inning the last time out to the Phillies.
OF) Denard Span, Seattle Mariners (FD Price $2,600)
One more bat against fading right-hander Colon, Span has produced better after being traded to the Mariners, batting .288 with a .779 OPS.
UTIL) Lorenzo Cain, Milwaukee Brewers (FD Price $3,000)
Cain has done most of his damage against LHP this season (.345 BA, .428 wOBA) and faces lefty Clayton Richard, who has allowed a .378 wOBA in six July starts.
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.
Seattle Mariners – Against the fading Colon, we installed Cruz, Span and Seager in the lineup. Add Jean Segura and hope that Colon continues to bleed runs at an alarming rate.
