Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Tuesday, July 24th

America’s pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.
Pitching Option
Zack Wheeler, New York Mets (FD Price $9,000)

Wheeler has been up and down this season (3-6, 4.44 ERA), but we like him against strikeout-prone San Diego. The Padres rank last in K% (25.6) and wOBA (.289), while Wheeler has improved his strikeout rate in July to 9.64 K/9.
Hitting Options
C/1B) Yadier Molina, St. Louis Cardinals (FD Price $3,100)
Molina is one of those rare guys who as a RHB, prefers RHP (.359 wOBA). His overall wOBA has improved each month and now stands at .368 for July. He faces Homer Bailey, who is having a completely forgettable season (1-7, 6.68 ERA) and can’t get batters out from either side of the plate (.381 wOBA vs LHB, .394 wOBA vs. RHB).
2B) Rougned Odor, Texas Rangers (FD Price $3,400)
Odor’s bat has risen from great depths to capture last week’s AL Player of the Week. He’s produced a .427 wOBA in July. Opposing starter Frankie Montas owns a .353 wOBA against LHB.
3B) Eugenio Suarez, Cincinnati Reds (FD Price $3,400)
There aren’t many hitters dominating LHP like Suarez (.383 BA, 1.156 OPS, .482 wOBA). He goes up against lefty Austin Gomber in his first major league start. Considering his longest outing of the season was 3.0 IP back in April, Suarez is likely to see a lot of the Cardinals mediocre bullpen.
SS) Paul DeJong, St. Louis Cardinals (FD Price $3,100)
Another Cardinals RHB who prefers RHP, DeJong owns a .336 wOBA against all right-handers. Bailey owns a .397 wOBA at the Great American Ball Park this season.
OF) Khris Davis, Oakland Athletics (FD Price $3,700)
Davis is one of those streaks that DFS players should ride as long as it lasts. He has three home run in the last two games and a .426 wOBA for all of July. The Rangers and their opponents have averaged a combined 14.8 runs on this homestand in the Texas triple-digit heat.
OF) Shin-Soo Choo, Texas Rangers (FD Price $3,200)
OK, so his 52-game on-base streak has ended. He still owns a .387 wOBA and a .411 wOBA against RHP.
OF) Stephen Piscotty, Oakland Athletics (FD Price $2,900)
Add another hot-hitting A’s outfielder. No wonder Oakland is 12-5 in July and 23-7 over their last 30 games. Piscotty owns a .421 wOBA in July. Opposing starter Mike Minor allows RHB a .346 wOBA.
UTIL) Tommy Pham, St. Louis Cardinals (FD Price $3,200)
Pham lost his swing for a while, but it’s back now (.366 wOBA in July) and he’s another bat to throw up against the struggling Bailey.
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.
St. Louis Cardinals
With Molina, DeJong and Pham already in the lineup if you can fit the extremely hot-hitting Matt Carpenter under your budget cap you will own a solid stack.
