Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Wednesday, August 15th

America’s pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.
Pitching Option
Nathan Eovaldi, Boston Red Sox (FD Price $8,400)

After 15 scoreless innings to start his Red Sox career, Eovaldi threw out a clunker against Baltimore in his last start. The funny thing is, the Orioles actually own baseball’s top wOBA over the past 30 days (.357). He should have a much better time of it against the slumping Phillies offense, who have managed just a .271 wOBA over the past two weeks with the league’s second-worst strikeout percentage (25.6).
Hitting Options
C/1B) Joey Votto, Cincinnati Reds (FD Price $3,400)
Votto’s numbers are down a little this season from past production, but the trouble has been against lefties, not against RHP (.310 BA, .398 wOBA). Opposing starter Shane Bieber is vulnerable to LHB, allowing a .377 wOBA.
2B) Jeff McNeil, New York Mets (FD Price $2,800)
The Mets rookie has been productive against RHP (.347 wOBA). Right-hander Dylan Bundy is allowing a .376 wOBA to lefties.
3B) Justin Turner, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD Price $3,600)
Turner knocked out three doubles Tuesday night raising his August batting average to .436 with a .542 wOBA. Stay with the hot bat again tonight.
SS) Aledmys Diaz, Toronto Blue Jays (FD Price $3,000)
This is a great price for Diaz, who has been most productive on the road against RHP (.362 wOBA) and faces Burch Smith who is allowing RHB at home a .411 wOBA.
OF) Nick Markakis, Atlanta Braves (FD Price $3,800)
Markakis has continued his All-Star season improving to a .391 wOBA after the break. He’s batting .364 in August with a .415 wOBA and will go up against Jose Urena, who is 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA against the Braves this season.
OF) Michael Conforto, New York Mets (FD Price $3,700)
Bundy is allowing a .376 wOBA to LHB while Conforto owns a .395 wOBA against RHP away from Citi Field.
OF) Curtis Granderson, Toronto Blue Jays (FD Price $3,100)
Opposing starter Burch Smith is allowing a .400 wOBA to LHB and Granderson is still a viable option against RHP (.331 wOBA).
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.
Atlanta Braves – We already have Markakis and in the lineup and of you can find the room for Freddie Freeman (career .567 wOBA versus Urena) and hot-hitting Robert Acuna you will be ready to roll.
