Finding Paydirt: Week 10 NFL Touchdown Picks — Win 2 Months of RG Premium & More Prizes!
Touchdowns, while extremely variant, make or break daily fantasy success and swing thousands of dollars every Sunday. Every weekend, players wait anxiously for the players on their roster to find paydirt. The purpose of the contest is to provide an opportunity for the RotoGrinders community to come together to sweat our touchdown picks together. Did I mention there will be prizes?
Happy Football Weekend, Grinders! Week 9 came with a historic touchdown performance that set the pace for our new four-week segment. This week brings another bye-mageddon of sorts, with four teams off and another London game. Let’s update the leaderboard from last week and then get into this week’s anytime touchdown picks.
The Leaderboard
Kudos to kcdouglas for landing an epic five-touchdown week from Joe Mixon. Obviously in the driver’s seat, somebody will need to find quite the explosion week to catch up to his six touchdowns in Week 9.
Finding Paydirt Rules and Prizes
Very simple. Each week, I will publish Finding Paydirt on Friday morning — highlighting my favorite touchdown pick for the running back, wide receiver, and tight end position. To participate in the contest, you simply need to read the article and leave your three picks in the comments section. So, easy, right? You will take Jonathan Taylor, Davante Adams, and Travis Kelce! Easy!
Not so fast, friends! There is a catch. Each week, we will run the contest for Sunday’s DraftKings Main Slate (1:00 PM and 4:00 PM games). However, to make things a bit more interesting, I will be cutting the top five priced running backs and wide receivers as well as the top three priced tight ends. Everyone else on the slate is in play.
Each week I will post an updated leaderboard with the total touchdowns accumulated that week and for the season.
So, simply put, read the article, check the cut list, make your three picks in the comments, and win prizes! What are the prizes? Read below.
The following prizes will be awarded to players based on their touchdown total for each four-week segment:
First Place – 2 months of RotoGrinders NFL Premium
Second Place – RotoGrinders T-shirt and hat
Third Place – 2 weeks of SAO Premium
The following prizes will be awarded to players based on their touchdown total for the first 16 weeks of the NFL season:
First Place – One month of RotoGrinders Combo Premium
Second Place – RotoGrinders Swag Pack
Third Place – One month of SAO Premium
Now, let’s get into this week’s cut list.
The Week 10 Cut List
Your selections must be on the DraftKings Main Slate and cannot be any of the players below. These players are the top five at both RB and WR and the top three at TE.
Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End |
Saquon Barkley | Tyreek Hill | Travis Kelce |
Derrick Henry | Cooper Kupp | T.J. Hockenson |
Nick Chubb | Justin Jefferson | Zach Ertz |
Dalvin Cook | Davante Adams | |
Josh Jacobs | Stefon Diggs |
Now that we have made our cuts, let’s make some anytime touchdown picks.
NFL Week 10 Touchdown Picks
Jonathan Taylor – RB – $7,500
Never did I think we would see a week where Jonathan Taylor is outside of the top five in running back pricing. That said, Taylor has fallen so far from grace that we arrive at that situation in what could be the best possible timing.
Taylor is off the injury report. Taylor no longer has Nyheim Hines in Indianapolis and Deon Jackson is questionable. The Colts just hired an offensive lineman with no coaching experience to be the interim head coach for the rest of the season. Finally, the Raiders also stink.
Taylor is going to get fed in high volume this weekend. With this discount in pricing, he becomes a DFS priority for me. I think the Colts look to make a statement with the ground game and do everything in their power to feed their workhorse.
Taylor is priced at +115 to score a touchdown on FanDuel Sportsbook. When was the last time we saw Taylor at plus money?
Jaylen Waddle – WR – $7,600
The Dolphins’ offense is humming as Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle continue to be top targets each week. With Hill leading the league with 1,104 receiving yards, you’d assume that his teammate would take a step back. Not so fast! Waddle is fifth in the league with 812 receiving yards. That is only 55 yards behind the second-leading receiver, Justin Jefferson.
Since we cannot take Tyreek Hill, we will happily take Waddle and his six receiving touchdowns. The Browns are in the middle of the pack with regard to passing defense, but they don’t play the Dolphins every week. Waddle finds paydirt.
Waddle is priced at +135 to score on Caesars Sportsbook.
Tyler Higbee – TE – $3,600
Ugh, the tight end position is the worst. I feel so, so, so very gross about this pick but…
I am going to go with Tyler Higbee this week. Higbee seems to have the market cornered on most catches that result in a receiver falling down. He still sees a solid target volume and the Cardinals have ceded the most touchdowns to the tight end position.
That’s good enough for me despite my lack of enthusiasm. FanDuel prices Higbee at +300 for a touchdown. Cross your fingers!
Thanks for checking out this week’s article. Leave your touchdown picks in the comments for a chance at winning monthly and seasonal prizes.
