Hassan Whiteside (illness) available to play Sunday; Trent Forrest (wrist) ruled out
Hassan Whiteside (illness) will be available to play Sunday against the New York Knicks, while Trent Forrest (wrist) has been ruled out. Whiteside is expected to return to his role as the backup center behind Rudy Gobert and is not expected to see enough run to play in DFS contests at this time. With Forrest ruled out, Nickeil Alexander-Walker seems like the most likely candidate to join the starting lineup for the Jazz. Last game, he saw 32 minutes with the starters and will likely be in line for another heavy workload tonight. he will be worth considering as a value option at just 3.8K on DK.

Thunder will start Mann, Wiggins, Pokusevski, Bazley, Roby on Sunday. Tre Mann will enter the starting lineup for SGA who was just ruled out. Mann is coming off a 25 point outing and was mentioned by the coach as someone who should see a good chunk of action tonight. He should be considered in most formats as he looks to carry the load tonight.

McCollum will slide to the one with Graham ruled out just a bit ago making room for Naji Marshall to join the starting lineup. McCollum should benefit from the increase in playmaking opportunities and Marshall should benefit from the increased minutes making them both better plays.

Suns will start Payton, Booker, Bridges, Crowder, Ayton on Sunday. As reported earlier, Elfrid Payton will get the start at point guard for the Suns tonight though there is the possibility that he won’t see full starter run with Devin Booker capable of playing point guard as well as Aaron Holiday available off the bench. If Payton does see starter minutes he would be a great value play at the stone minimum on DK.

Trae Young (quad) will be available to play Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Young should return to the starting lineup and play his normal minutes for the Hawks. This will relegate Delon Wright back to his bench role backing Trae up and will sap all of his DFS appeal. Young’s return should also limit the playmaking opportunities enjoyed by Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kevin Huerter.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Orlando Magic. With SGA ruled out, Tre Mann seems like the most likely candidate to join the starting lineup for the Thunder but they have been known to switch up their lineups daily. The Thunder will have nine available players so they should all see a decent amount of run. It will be interesting to see where SGA’s usage goes but the top candidates are Aleksej Pokusevski, Tre Mann, and Darius Bazley.

Devonte’ Graham (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks. With Graham out, C.J. McCollum could be flexed to the point guard position making room for Trey Murphy or Naji Marshall to join the starting lineup. McCollum would benefit from the increased playmaking opportunities and he and Jonas Valanciunas should be asked to shoulder more of the offensive load for New Orleans. Jose Alvarado will also be asked to play a larger role as the backup point guard for the Pelicans and should see increased run.

In a surprising move, Elfrid Payton will start for Suns on Sunday after being out of the rotation for most of his time with the Suns. It is uncertain whether Payton will see full starter minutes with Devon Booker capable of playing the point as well as Aaron Holiday off the bench. Payton does come in at the stone minimum on DK and will start so he should at least garner some consideration for DFS contests.

Jae Crowder (groin) will play Sunday against the Sacramento Kings. Crowder should be in line to return to his normal role in the starting lineup and play his usual minutes. This will limit the upside that Torrey craig has enjoyed the past few games with Crowder absent and will likely remove Ish Wainright from the rotation.

De’Aaron Fox (hand) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Phoenix Suns. Davion Mitchell will likely draw the start again and will be worth considering even at an elevated price of 4.3K on DK. With Fox out, Domantas Sabonis and Harrison Barnes will likely be called upon to shoulder more of the offensive load. Donte DiVincenzo should see extended run off the bench for the Kings but comes in at a price of 4.6K.

Cam Payne (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Sacramento Kings. With Payne out, Devin Booker could be asked to slide to the point guard position making room for Torrey Craig or Landry Shamet to enter the starting lineup for the Suns. Both players should have increased roles without Payne as well as Aaron Holiday off the bench. Booker should benefit from his increased playmaking role and can be considered a better play as both he and Deandre Ayton should be called upon to carry more of the offensive load.

Jalen Suggs (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. With Suggs ruled out, R.J. Hampton should once again draw the start for the Magic and can be considered as he is still just 3.8K on DK. Terrence Ross and Gary Harris should provide the backup guard minutes behind Hampton though neither is expected to see enough work to be considered in DFS contests as they continue to split time.

Lineup Update: Pacers will start Haliburton, Hield, Anderson, Brissett, Bitadze on Sunday. The Pacers continue to roll out unique lineups, this time including Justin Anderson and electing to run with a smaller lineup than last game. Anderson does not project well from a FPPM perspective but should see close to 20 minutes as a member of the starting five. This will mean Terry Taylor will come off the bench and his value and minutes should be limited.
