Bamba, Robin Lopez, and Moe Wagner should all split time at the center position tonight limiting the upside of each player. it will likely be best to avoid this situation tonight in DFS contests.

Carmelo Anthony

Los Angeles Lakers
1/15/22, 8:53 PM ET

Carmelo Anthony (back) ruled out Saturday

Carmelo Anthony (back) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Denver Nuggets. With Anthony missing his second straight game, Trevor Ariza and Austin Reaves will likely pick up some of his minutes with Wayne Ellington likely to enter the rotation. Ultimately, from a DFS standpoint there are no real winners here as Anthony’s minutes will be spread out to players that don’t score well from an FPM perspective.

Derrick White

Boston Celtics
1/15/22, 8:23 PM ET

Derrick White (health protocols) available to play Saturday; Jakob Poeltl (back) a game-time decision

Derrick White (health protocols) will be available to play Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers, while Jakob Poeltl (back) will be a game-time decision but is considered unlikely to play. White will return after missing the last four games. It remains to be seen if White instantly rejoins the starting lineup but even if he does he is expected to be limited. This would likely send Devin Vassell back to the bench and limit his upside along with siphoning minutes from Lonnie Walker as well. With Poeltl likely out, Jock Landale will be the likely starter at center with Drew Eubanks available to back him up off the bench. If Landale starts he would be worthy of consideration as a value play in DFS contests.

Clint Capela (ankle) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (knee) have been ruled out Saturday, while Danilo Gallinari and Jalen Johnson will be available. With Capela out, Gorgui Dieng or Onyeka Okongwu will likely draw the start at center. If Dieng draws the start (as he did last night) he should be considered in most DFS formats as a value option. With Bogdanovic ruled out, Kevin Huerter will likely slide into the starting lineup with Danilo Gallinari (questionable) also a possibility. All available Hawks guards and wings will likely be called upon to fill Bogdanovic’s minutes increasing their expected production.
