Daniel Gafford now ruled out Thursday
Gafford has been all over the place today, from questionable to expected to play to now officially being ruled out. This is great news for the upside of Montrezl Harrell and he immediately becomes one of the top plays on the slate with Gafford out, so if you wrote him off earlier with Gafford expected to play, you’ll want to revisit that. The Wizards don’t really have a true big behind him but we could see Anthony Gill or Isaiah Todd get some bench burn, although neither are even close to DFS viable.

Terance Mann will play Thursday; Nic Batum officially ruled out
Mann will play Thursday, a much-needed boost for a Clippers team that was already playing shorthanded. Although he’ll continue to come off the bench, he should still be expected to see minutes in the high 20s to low 30s with upside for more if Amir Coffey struggles as the starter against Memphis. Nicolas Batum has been officially ruled out – he came into the day with a doubtful tag, so no surprise here.

It appears Gafford will give it a go tonight, although I’ll pass along confirmation when starters are announced. Assuming he’s in there, he should be expected to see 22-24 minutes in his typical role and is on the radar for large-field tournaments.
Tyler Herro ruled out Thursday; Bam Adebayo, Caleb Martin and Dewayne Dedmon available to play
Tyler Herro will not play Thursday, but the Heat will get Bam Adebayo back in the lineup. Herro’s absence will lead to more burn for Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and potentially Duncan Robinson to a lesser extent. Herro does command a massive usage rate when he’s out there, and that will trickle to a combination of Butler, Lowry, Adebayo, and the shooting wings. Dedmon will shift back to a bench role and Caleb Martin should play his typical role off the bench with upside for some extra run with Herro out of the lineup.

Stephen Curry is listed as available to play for Thursday’s meeting with the Cavs. He entered the day questionable and has been trending in the right direction all day, so this doesn’t come as much of a surprise. He should be expected to take on a normal workload here assuming this one stays competitive and remains one of the top overall targets on the slate.
Daniel Gafford listed questionable Thursday
Gafford has popped up on the injury report and will be questionable for tonight’s meeting with the Heat. If he’s unable to go, we’ll likely see a ton of Montrezl Harrell and he’d immediately become one of the top targets on the slate. Gafford’s absence could slightly up the rebounding rate for Kyle Kuzma and could lead to some bench run for Anthony Gill or Isaiah Todd. Without a true backup center, Harrell could play quite a bit if Gafford can’t go.

Both players come into tonight with questionable tags, although neither absence would be felt much from a DFS perspective. Reid’s absence could lead to a longer leash for Karl-Anthony Towns or a little extra Jarred Vanderbilt/Jaden McDaniels unless Nathan Knight entered the rotation. Okogie’s absence would just figure to open up a little more run for Malik Beasley and Taurean Prince off the bench.

Rudy Gay will make his Jazz debut Thursday. He’s only expected to play a minor bench role, but he does figure to impact Eric Paschall and potentially Royce O’Neale to a lesser extent.
Will Barton (back) listed questionable Thursday; Bones Hyland (ankle) listed probable
Barton was originally listed as doubtful on the Nuggets’ injury report, but he’s now listed as questionable for Thursday’s matchup against the Denver Nuggets due to low back pain that’s forced him to miss the previous two games. However, head coach Michael Malone was quoted by reporters at shootaround that he expects Barton to play in tonight’s contest, so he figures to be closer to probable, just like Bones Hyland, who is battling a sprained left ankle. There hasn’t been a reported minute restriction for Barton yet, so if he’s able to handle anywhere close to a full allotment of minutes, Facundo Campazzo would find himself out of the rotation once again while Austin Rivers will see his role decreased as a member of the second unit.

Tyler Herro (wrist) and Caleb Martin (ankle) listed questionable Thursday; Bam Adebayo (knee) and Dewayne Dedmon (groin) listed probable
The Heat released their initial injury report for Thursday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards and have included Herro and Martin as questionable, while Adebayo has been upgraded to probable after missing Wednesday’s win. The return of Kyle Lowry will diminish any impact Herro’s potential absence could have made on the rotation, but if the third-year guard is unable to suit, Max Strus, Gabe Vincent, or some combination of both could be looking at increased minute workloads this evening.

Allen was included on the Cavaliers’ initial injury report and will miss Thursday’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors due to an illness that’s now forced him to miss three consecutive games. In his absence, Ed Davis will more than likely receive the starting nod at the center position once again following his serviceable fantasy performance in 24 minutes of action in last night’s loss. However, Golden State tends to want to play smaller lineups even more often than the Brooklyn Nets, so Davis’ minute floor is far from stable and could become an intriguing tournament fade if he gathers ownership steam across the daily fantasy industry this evening.

Green has officially been upgraded from questionable on the Bulls’ injury report and will be available for Wednesday’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers despite dealing with a sprained ankle. However, Green’s role in the rotation appears to be diminishing with the return of Coby White and Alex Caruso stepping into the starting lineup the past few games as he has logged fewer than 17 minutes in two of the three previous games.

As expected, Porter Jr. has officially been listed out for Wednesday’s matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a left thigh contusion, while Eric Gordon has been cleared to play following a one-game absence. Gordon’s return will eat up a good chunk of the minutes Porter leaves behind, but more of the distributing will be handled by DJ Augustin who led the bench in minutes in Houston’s previous outing after receiving a slew of DNP-CDs over the last few weeks. Additionally, Jalen Green, Christian Wood and Jae’Sean Tate are also candidates to take on a little more responsibility in a game between two of the West’s worst teams.
