Danny Green (hamstring) expected to play Monday
Green went through shootaround with no setbacks, and Sixers’ head coach Doc Rivers is hopeful he’ll be able to play in Monday’s matchup against the New York Knicks after missing three games due to left hamstring tightness, while Joel Embiid has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and will need to produce two negative tests 24 hours apart before returning to game action. He’ll join an extensive list of Sixers players that are either also in the health and safety protocols or dealing with various ailments heading into tonight’s contest, and even with Danny Green available, they’ll be down to just eight players that have logged minutes for the team this season. There’s always a small risk that Rivers allows Jaden Springer and Aaron Henry to make their NBA debuts for a depleted team on the front end of a back-to-back set, but it’s still unlikely they see extended run in a competitive game with the Knicks this evening.
As reported by: Paul Hudrick via TwitterOtto Porter Jr. (foot) listed out Monday
With Porter out of action, Gary Payton II could see a little more run after a strong string of games on the wing, with Nemanja Bjelica, Andre Iguodala and Damion Lee also candidates to benefit. We could see some Jonathan Kuminga, but that’s more likely if the game were to get out of hand.

Embiid was originally slated to rest on Monday’s front end of a back-to-back set against the New York Knicks, but he’s now entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and will need to produce two negative tests 24 hours apart before returning to game action. He’ll join an extensive list of Sixers players that are either also in the health and safety protocols or dealing with various ailments heading into tonight’s contest, and if Danny Green is unavailable once again, they’ll be down to just seven players that have logged minutes for the team this season. There’s always a small risk that head coach Doc Rivers allows Jaden Springer and Aaron Henry to make their NBA debuts in this scenario, but it’d still be unlikely that either see extended run in what should be a competitive game with the Knicks this evening.
