Joel Embiid (knee) says he will play Sunday

As expected, Joel Embiid will be available (according to Embiid) Sunday for Game 7 of the 76ers series against the Atlanta Hawks. Embiid should start and see his normal heavy minutes as the 76ers look to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. The 76ers offense should run through Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Tobias Harris.

Lineup update: Suns will start Payne, Booker, Bridges, Crowder, and Ayton Sunday

With no CP3, Payne will step into the starting lineup as expected. Payne has shown great upside in past games, as he produces well per minute and now should have elevated upside in his minutes. We are projecting him for 30 minutes, but there’s a chance in a close game he gets higher. Booker should lead the team in usage with no CP3.

Terance Mann

Lineup update: Clippers will start Jackson, Mann, George, Batum, and Morris Sunday

After his career performance last game, Mann will stay in the starting lineup as the Clippers will continue to stay small in the starting lineup. This should keep Mann’s minutes in check, while Zubac is at risk of being out of the rotation, despite Lue’s claim of getting more minutes for the big man.

Bruce Brown

Denver Nuggets

Lineup update: Nets will start Harden, Brown, Harris, Durant, and Griffin Saturday

Bruce Brown hops back into starting lineup in place of Jeff Green as the Nets prepare for their do or die game 7. Green has played huge minutes, and likely still will; we are projecting him for 31 minutes. Brown certainly gets a bump up, but may only be a “token” starter, and play in the teens/low 20’s as a result.

Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell (ankle) will start Friday

Mitchell was cleared to play and will start alongside Conley in game 5. His minutes may not be as high now that Conley has returned, and his ankle has noticeably bothered him. Still, this makes it much tougher to play Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson, while Miye Oni should be out of the rotation.

Mike Conley

Mike Conley (hamstring) available to play Friday; Donovan Mitchell (ankle) remains a game-time decision

Conley was upgraded from questionable to available and will be able to make his return after missing the first five games of the series. Conley should be able to slot into the starting lineup, moving Joe Ingles to the bench. Mitchell remains a game-time decision. With Conley back, Clarkson and Ingles are at risk of losing big minutes assuming Mitchell ends up playing. We’ve projected Conley for 26 minutes; it’s likely they don’t go overboard in his first game back.

Mike Conley (hamstring) "working toward a return" Friday; Donovan Mitchell (ankle) a game-time decision

According to Woj, the Jazz should be getting some reinforcements ahead of game six against the Clippers. Conley is progressing towards a return and looks to be on track to return after missing every game of the series so far. Mitchell on the other hand, is a game-time decision; he’s clearly been limited by his ankle, and was visibly limping at points throughout the last game. It still seems more likely than not that Mitchell plays, but he is listed as questionable. Conley’s return should put everyone in the rotation in their regular season roles; Conley would start alongside Mitchell, Joe Ingles would move to the bench, and he would split the backup guard minutes with Jordan Clarkson. Conley’s return matters far more from a minutes perspective; Conley off the court doesn’t change much per CourtIQ. Bogdanovic and Ingles lose some value, but the minutes are a bigger issue, particularly for Ingles and Clarkson.

Terance Mann

Lineup update: Clippers will start Jackson, Mann, George, Morris, and Batum Wednesday

Mann will get the start for the injured Kawhi, and will become a popular value as a result. Although he doesn’t usually produce great per minute (around 0.8 FPM), with the start he has a much higher minutes floor and is at a cheap salary across the industry, as pricing came out before the Kawhi injury. As a result, Mann should be a great value, while players like Beverley, Kennard, and Zubac all become much riskier as they are off the bench.
