Lineup update: Suns will start Paul, Booker, Bridges, Crowder, and Ayton Thursday

As expected, CP3 will get the start for the Suns in his first game back from COVID; Payne will move to the bench.

Status update: Chris Paul (protocols) won't have a minute restriction Thursday

CP3 won’t have a minutes limit Thursday; despite reportedly having COVID and not playing in 10 days, he should be all systems go.

Chris Paul (protocols) available to play Thursday

After missing the first two games of the series due to the health and safety protocols, CP3 was upgraded from probable to available and will play in game 3 against the LA Clippers. Paul should start, moving Cam Payne to the bench. Paul’s return will also take away usage and assist rate from the other starters; Devin Booker in particular loses the most production per CourtIQ with CP3 on the floor.

Lineup update: Hawks will start Young, Bogdanovic, Huerter, Collins, and Capela Wednesday

Bogdan Bogdanovic (knee), Kevin Huerter (ankle), and Cam Reddish (Achilles) all available to play Wednesday

The Hawks will have all three players listed on the injury report as available, a big win as they prepare for game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Huerter will play as expected; he was listed as probable. Bogdanovic is dealing with some knee soreness that has limited him the last two games against Philly, but ultimately was cleared. The big news is that Reddish is available to play; he’s missed over two months with an Achilles injury. Coach McMillan mentioned that Reddish may not enter the rotation right away, and even if he did, it’s likely that he’d get barely any minutes. It’s good that Bogdanovic and Huerter are both back; both are expected to start once again.

Lineup update: Bucks will start Holiday, Middleton, Tucker, Giannis, and Lopez Wednesday

The Bucks will roll with the same starting lineup that they used against the Nets; Tucker will remain in the starting lineup in place of the injured DiVincenzo. There was talk that possibly the Bucks would start one of Connaughton or Forbes since Tucker isn’t as needed defensively, but they’ll elect to have continuity.

The Suns are rolling with the same lineup; Payne will start in place of CP3, while the remaining starters are the same.

Lineup update: Clippers will start Beverley, Jackson, George, Morris, and Zubac Tuesday

The Clippers are changing up things ahead of game 2. Beverley will get the start for the Clippers, and will likely be tasked with guarding Devin Booker while he’s on the floor. Also, Zubac will get the start, as they prepare to play a bit bigger and try to matchup with the Suns and Ayton. Moving to the bench are Nic Batum and Terance Mann. Mannwas the star of last series but may not be as needed in this series; his minutes seem to be more at risk than Batum. This also may mean more minutes for DeMarcus Cousins off the bench; the fact that the Clippers are electing play bigger certainly gives him a higher upside. Also, Morris is more secure in his minutes now that he’s starting; the knee injury may not cost him that much.

Marcus Morris (knee) will play Tuesday

Morris went through warmups, and was cleared to play against the Suns in game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. Morris should get the start again, although it’s certainly not a guarantee due to his injury. Once starting lineups are revealed, there’ll be more clarification on his minutes, but he should be a safe bet to get close to his usual rotation.

Marcus Morris (knee) a game-time decision Tuesday

Despite not being listed on the injury report, Marcus Morris is now a game-time decision due to a knee injury that he suffered in game 1. Coach Lue mentioned in his pre-game comments that Morris would try to go through warmups, and that if there were no issues he’d be able to play. Lue did mention that if he had to guess, Morris would play. If he can’t go, it would be more minutes for Luke Kennard, and possibly the centers (Ivica Zubac, who started the second half of game 1, and Demarcus Cousins). Should he play, Morris should stay in the starting lineup most likely, although there is a chance coach Lue changes it up.

Trae Young (shoulder) available to play Sunday

As expected, Trae Young will be available Sunday for Game 7 of the Hawks series against the Philadelphia 76ers. Young should start and see his normal heavy minutes as the Hawks look to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals to face off against the Bucks. Young, Clint Capela, and Bogdan Bogdanovich should be responsible for most of the Hawks production.

Bogdan Bogdanovic will be available to play Sunday against the 76ers in Game 7 of their series. Bogdan will likely stay in the starting lineup and play his normal heavy minutes as the Hawks look to punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals. Trae Young, Clint Capela, and Bogdanovic should be responsible for most of the Hawks production.

Bogdan Bogdanovic will be a game-time decision Sunday. If Bogdan is ruled out it is likely that Danilo Gallinari, Lou Williams, and Solomon Hill will play more minutes as the Hawks look to punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals to face off against the Bucks. With Bogdan off the floor according to CourtIQ the biggest benefactors from an FPM boost standpoint are Lou Williams (.07), Clint Capela (.05) and Trae Young (.03).
