Despite being listed as probable on the Hornets’ injury report, Monk has been ruled out and won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards due to a sore right foot that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. The continued absence of LaMelo Ball should allow Terry Rozier and Devonte Graham to have free reign of the available guard minutes, while Brad Wanamaker is available off the bench to up pick up any slack at the point guard position, but he logged just four minutes during Sunday’s overtime loss. Instead, Miles Bridges and Cody Martin commanded nearly all of the vacated playing time with the second unit in that contest, but that was largely related to Bismack Biyombo being benched early in the fourth quarter and PJ Washington essentially playing the remainder of the game as the small-ball five.

Bradley Beal (hip) and Raul Neto (rib) ruled out Tuesday
Beal and Neto have officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets due to their respective ailments, while Daniel Gafford won’t be available because of a sprained right ankle sustained late in Monday’s win. The absence of Gafford combined with the departure of Moe Wagner at the trade deadline should open up a sizable minute floor for one or both of Alex Len and Robin Lopez, though Len has been the beneficiary of more consistent playing time of late, evidenced by the 22 minutes he recorded in yesterday’s contest. As for Beal’s absence, his unavailability will seemingly clear the way for Deni Avdija to play big minutes as the rookie was sensational for fantasy purposes in just under 32 minutes of action as the starter alongside Jerome Robinson, who will remain in the first unit as the shooting guard position this evening.

George has been included on the Clippers’ initial injury report and is currently listed as questionable for Tuesday’s matchup against the Orlando Magic due to right foot soreness that’s already forced him to miss one game, while Serge Ibaka and Patrick Beverley remain sidelined with their respective ailments. Rajon Rondo also continues to deal with right adductor soreness, so he won’t be available to make his Clippers debut once again, which would likely allow Luke Kennard to join the starting lineup alongside Reggie Jackson in the backcourt if George is unable to suit up for a second straight night. As for Jackson, he’s continued to see increased minutes of late with the Clippers shorthanded, and he remains an intriguing tournament target regardless of George’s status at a relatively affordable price tag across the daily fantasy industry this evening.

As expected, Dragic has officially been upgraded from probable and will play in Monday’s matchup against the New York Knicks after missing the past four games due to back spasms, while the Heat will still be without Victor Oladipo and Kendrick Nunn because of their respective ailments. There currently haven’t been any reports of a potential minute restriction for Dragic, and if that holds, he’ll be a candidate to join the starting lineup in Nunn’s place, though it’s still entirely possible that head coach Erik Spoelstra opts to continue using a false starter like Gabe Vincent in tonight’s contest. Even if Dragic is limited, his availability brings the Heat up to 11 active players, which should enable Spoelstra to utilize at least a semi-normal 10-man rotation this evening.

Brown has been added to the Celtics’ injury report and has officially been ruled out of Monday’s matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans due to a left hip contusion, while Evan Fournier has cleared the NBA’s health and safety protocols and will be available to make his Celtics debut in tonight’s contest. Boston is also still without Semi Ojeleye and Tristan Thompson, so Robert Williams III will be free to make another center at the center position, but for whatever reason, head coach Brad Stevens has been hesitant to give him normal starting minutes, capping his total at roughly 27 minutes in each of the previous two games. Additionally, Fournier will likely step into the starting lineup in place of Brown whereas Grant Williams and Aaron Nesmith are candidates to see extra run off the bench with the second unit this evening.

After being questionable with a knee injury, Ross will miss his seventh straight game with a knee injury and won’t join the Magic as they play the Los Angeles Lakers. With the Magic playing without Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, and Evan Fournier, the Magic will miss Ross as they have a dearth of usage. With such a new rotation and a lack of players, it’s tough to track who will benefit the most. Dwayne Bacon leads the team with 1.17 FPM with all the Magic traded players and Ross off the floor in a 114 minute sample per CourtIQ. Chuma Okeke and Khem Birch should benefit as well, as both will remain in the starting lineup despite Wendell Carter Jr’s arrival to the team. The Magic will certainly be struggling today and all year as they try to find an offensive identity.

Status update: Marc Gasol's minutes limit to be raised Sunday
After playing 15 minutes the last two games, Gasol will have his minutes limited raised against the Orlando Magic. Coach Vogel did not specify how many Gasol would play, but it would be likely that he gets in the 18-20 range, as even before his conditioning he wasn’t playing more than that range all that often.

After being listed as questionable earlier in the day, Hunter will miss his second straight game due to swelling in his knee, and won’t join the Hawks as they take on the Denver Nuggets. Hunter had been coming off the bench, as Tony Snell has remained in the starting lineup since he took over for Hunter earlier in the year. In Hunter’s absence, expect Danilo Gallinari and Bogdan Bogdanovic to take a few more minutes off the bench in his place, while Solomon Hill may re-enter the rotation and play a few spot minutes. Without Hunter on the floor, nobody sees a massive bump, as Hunter’s rates are not particularly high. Still, CourtIQ shows a slight bump to John Collins with Hunter, Cam Reddish, and the recently traded Rondo off the floor; in 514 minutes, he averages 1.19 FPM, up from 1.09. Still, Gallinari and Bogdanovic should benefit the most from the extra minutes.
