George Hill (thumb) ruled out Wednesday
Hill has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns due to a sprained right thumb that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Al Horford has finally rejoined the team and will be available to play after missing six straight contests for personal reasons. There haven’t been any reports of a potential minute restriction for Horford, but given the length of his layoff from competitive basketball, it’s certainly possible he has his minutes monitored at the very least, even if he assumes his usual role as the Thunder’s starting center in tonight’s contest. However, either way, his presence does throw a wrench into the frontcourt rotation, and it’s possible one of Isaiah Roby or Mike Muscala become a regular DNP-CD when Oklahoma City is at full strength moving forward.

Raul Neto (groin) will start and have a minute restriction Wednesday
Neto has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Wednesday’s matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans despite continuing to deal with left groin tightness, while Russell Westbrook was already ruled out for rest purposes on the second leg of a back-to-back set. The Wizards are still without a host of regular rotation players, so with Neto is cleared to play, he will receive the starting nod at point guard, but to what extent Neto is able to play is the overarching question after he was limited to just 22 minutes in Tuesday’s loss. The depleted state of Washington’s roster has allowed rookie Cassius Winston to see his first significant minutes of the season, and with Neto still on an unspecified minute restriction, he figures to at least get some run with the second unit this evening.

Herro has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Denver Nuggets due to neck spasms that have now forced him to miss six consecutive games, while Gabe Vincent and Avery Bradley will be available to play following their original questionable designations on the Heat injury report. However, Miami is still without Jimmy Butler, Meyers Leonard, and Goran Dragic, so Kendrick Nunn will likely finally move into the starting lineup at point guard following a stretch of solid fantasy performances in at least 32 minutes off the bench with Herro and the other Heat players sidelined. The spot on the wing next to Duncan Robinson in the first unit has continued to be a revolving door, and either Vincent or KZ Okpala remain the likeliest candidates to start with Maurice Harkless also sidelined this evening.

Clint Capela and Danilo Gallinari were also cleared to play in following their earlier questionable designations on the Raptors’ injury report, and there has yet to be any indication that they or Reddish will be subject to minute restrictions, meaning they should all see around their usual playing time in tonight’s contest. With Rondo sidelined, Brandon Goodwin likely steps into the backup point guard role, but he won’t see enough minutes to become relevant in daily fantasy on a massive 12-game slate across the industry.

Nance Jr. has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons due to a sprained right wrist that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. In his absence, there’s a number of directions head coach JB Bickerstaff could go with his starting lineup, but with Darius Garland set to play in his fourth game since an extended injury absence and no longer on a minute restriction, he would be the logical choice to slot back into the first unit alongside Collin Sexton in the backcourt. This move would slide Isaac Okoro and Cedi Osman down to the forward positions at least to start, but it’s still certainly possible Bickerstaff continues to tinker with more double center lineup combinations that have performed well at certain times over the last two contests.

Tyler Herro is still a game-time decision because of neck spasms, but the fact that Dragic is being held out with what appears to be a minor ailment could be a positive sign for Herro’s availability in tonight’s contest. If Herro is cleared, he’d likely step directly into Dragic’s vacated minutes and role as the starting point guard in the starting lineup, whereas the spot on the wing next to Duncan Robinson has been a revolving door, and Vincent or KZ Okpala remain the likeliest candidates to start with Maurice Harkless also sidelined.

Mitchell has entered the NBA’s concussion protocol and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, while Favors was also included on the Jazz initial injury report and is listed as questionable with a sore lower back on the second leg of a back-to-back set. If Favors is unable to suit up, rookie Udoka Azubuike would likely find his way into the rotation to absorb some, if not, all of the available backup center minutes behind Rudy Gobert in tonight’s contest. As for Mitchell’s absence, it should allow Joe Ingles to join the starting lineup for the first time this season, and over the past two years with Mitchell off the court, Ingles has seen his assist rate skyrocket to 27.3%, whereas Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson have led the way with 28.7% and 29.3% usage rates over this sample size.

Neto has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Houston Rockets after missing one game due to left groin tightness. However, Wizards head coach Scott Brooks already confirmed with reporters that Neto will be subject to a minute restriction given the injury and the long layoff since he was active for a game, so depending on how limited he and Russell Westbrook end up being, Cassius Winston may still see some nominal point guard minutes at the end of the rotation following a solid fantasy performance in just under 19 minutes of action in Sunday’s blowout loss. Neto will still serve as the primary backup point guard despite the aforementioned minute limitation this evening.

As expected, Russell has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Monday’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors due to a right quad contusion he apparently suffered in Friday’s loss. In Russell’s second consecutive absence, Ricky Rubio will receive another start at the point guard position following his solid fantasy performance in 28 minutes of action last time out. Jordan McLaughlin served as the backup point guard in that contest and was also fairly productive during his time on the floor, but if Rubio has his minute limit increased, which isn’t guaranteed by any means, it’s improbable McLaughlin will see enough minutes to become fantasy relevant on a 10-game slate across the industry this evening.

Lowry has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Monday’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers after missing two games due to a toe infection, while Siakam will miss a second straight game following his earlier questionable designation on the Raptors’ injury report with left knee swelling. The return of Lowry will likely shift Stanley Johnson back to the bench to resume a reserve role whereas Norman Powell will remain in the starting lineup alongside him and Fred VanVleet on the wing. Additionally, some combination of Terence Davis, De’Andre Bembry, Yuta Watanabe, or Malachi Flynn will likely absorb the available reserve minutes in the second unit at their respective positions this evening.

Ennis typically doesn’t see big minutes as a starter, to begin with, but head coach Steve Clifford already confirmed that he will be subject to a minute restriction on the second leg of a back-to-back set. There haven’t been any reports of a minute restriction for Gordon, and his return to the starting lineup will send Gary Clark back to the bench to assume his usual reserve role following a stellar fantasy performance in just over 35 minutes of action in Sunday’s loss.
