Meyers Leonard

Milwaukee Bucks
1/12/21, 6:43 PM ET

Meyers Leonard (shoulder) ruled out Tuesday

Leonard has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers due to a strained left shoulder, while Kelly Olynyk and Gabe Vincent will both be available to play following their previous probable designations on the Heat’s injury report. This leaves Miami with the minimum required eight active players to avoid a postponement, so look for Olynyk, Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Precious Achiuwa, Andre Iguodala, Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, and Chris Silva all to see substantial playing time this evening.

Victor Oladipo

Memphis Grizzlies
1/12/21, 5:21 PM ET

Victor Oladipo (injury management) listed questionable Tuesday

Oladipo has been listed as questionable on the Pacers’ initial injury report for Tuesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors due to right knee injury management. However, Oladipo has yet to play in the second leg of a back-to-back since sustaining a season-ending injury during the 2019 season, so appears highly unlikely to suit up for tonight’s contest. If this is the case, Aaron Holiday would likely rejoin the starting lineup and start alongside his brother, Justin Holiday, on the wing, while Edmond Sumner would be a candidate to receive playing time in the second unit with T.J. McConnell still away from the team as he tends to a personal matter.

Ben Simmons

LA Clippers
1/12/21, 5:43 PM ET

Ben Simmons (knee) and Joel Embiid (back) listed probable Tuesday

Simmons and Embiid have both been listed as probable on the Sixers’ initial injury report for Tuesday’s matchup against the Miami Heat due to their respective nagging ailments. This means the Sixers are on track to get Simmons back into the lineup following a two-game absence, but they are still down to just 10 available players and will continue to be without the services of Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, Shake Milton, and Matisse Thybulle in tonight’s contest. Tyrese Maxey will more than likely start in the backcourt alongside Simmons, but he still appears to be the most impacted by Simmons presence in the starting lineup since he’ll spend much less time on the ball from an offensive creation standpoint, which does limit his floor and ceiling at an elevated price tag across the daily fantasy industry.

Richaun Holmes

Washington Wizards
1/12/21, 3:25 AM ET

Richaun Holmes (ankle) and Buddy Hield (ankle) will start Monday

Holmes has officially been upgraded from questionable and will start in Monday’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers after missing one game due to a sore left ankle, while Hield has also been cleared to play following his original questionable designation on the Kings’ injury report with a sprained right ankle. The return of Holmes will send Tyrese Haliburton back to the bench to resume his usual sixth-man role after another serviceable daily fantasy performance in 30 minutes of action in Saturday’s blowout loss. This will also slide Marvin Bagley III back to the power forward position in the first unit, which makes him a slightly less appealing option for tournament formats across the industry this evening.

James Ennis III

Denver Nuggets
1/11/21, 7:23 PM ET

James Ennis (hamstring) will start Monday

Ennis was originally expected to sit on the second leg of a back-to-back, but he’s now officially been upgraded from questionable and will start in Monday’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks despite the team hoping to manage his right hamstring issue from earlier in the season. Meanwhile, Evan Fournier will miss his sixth consecutive game, so Dwayne Bacon will continue to start alongside Cole Anthony in the backcourt, but he’s continued to be largely irrelevant for daily fantasy purposes even though he’s logged at least 27 minutes in each of the previous six games. Additionally, the presence of Ennis will allow Aaron Gordon to start his natural power forward position this evening.

Collin Sexton

Los Angeles Lakers
1/11/21, 7:32 PM ET

Collin Sexton (ankle) will play Monday

Sexton has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Monday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies after missing the previous two games due to a sprained left ankle. His return to the starting lineup will likely shift Damyean Doton back to the bench to resume a reserve role, while Cedi Osman will likely slide back into a secondary playmaking role following a significant uptick in his assist percentage over the span of the last few games. As for Sexton, head coach JB Bickerstaff disclosed to reporters that the team plans to ease him back into action to some extent, and he’ll likely be limited to minutes in the low-30s this evening.

James Ennis III

Denver Nuggets
1/11/21, 7:06 PM ET

James Ennis (hamstring) questionable Monday

Ennis was originally expected to sit on the second leg of a back-to-back, but he’s officially been listed as questionable on the Magic’s injury report for Monday’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks due to right hamstring injury management. Meanwhile, Evan Fournier will miss his sixth consecutive game, so Dwayne Bacon will continue to start alongside Cole Anthony in the backcourt, and if Ennis is unable to suit up, Aaron Gordon will likely slide up to the small forward position and allow Gary Clark to receive the start at the four this evening.

Wesley Matthews

Atlanta Hawks
1/10/21, 8:21 PM ET

Wesley Matthews (Achilles) ruled out Sunday

Matthews was a late addition to the Lakers’ injury report and has officially been ruled out of Sunday’s matchup against the Houston Rockets due to a sore right Achilles, while Anthony Davis and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will both start after they missed the previous game due to their respective ailments. With Matthews sidelined, Caldwell-Pope will likely just step directly into his vacated allotment of minutes in tonight’s contest, though he rarely sees enough usage or minutes to be relevant in daily fantasy formats. Additionally, there’s been no word of a minute restriction for Davis, so he should be good to go following his one-game absence with a right adductor strain, and his presence in the starting lineup will send Markieff Morris back to the bench to resume his usual reserve power forward role this evening.

Josh Okogie

Utah Jazz
1/10/21, 10:17 PM ET

Josh Okogie (hamstring) will play with a minute restriction Sunday

As expected, Okogie has officially been cleared to play in Sunday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs after missing the previous six games due to a strained left hamstring. Head coach Ryan Saunders already disclosed to reporters that Okogie will be subject to a minute restriction and will come off the bench in tonight’s contest. Meanwhile, Karl-Anthony Towns will be held out as the team looks to manage his workload on the second game of a back-to-back after logging 37 minutes in return to action Saturday evening. With Towns sidelined once again, Ed Davis will receive the start at the center position, but overall, that rotation has been a mess and it’s been nearly impossible to project who will receive the most playing time between Davis, Naz Reid, and Jarred Vanderbilt on a nightly basis.

Anthony Davis

Washington Wizards
1/10/21, 8:12 PM ET

Anthony Davis (adductor) and Kentavavious Caldwell-Pope (ankle) will start Sunday

Davis and Caldwell-Pope have both officially been upgraded from questionable and will start in Sunday’s matchup against the Houston Rockets after they both missed the previous game due to their respective ailments. However, the Lakers will be without Wesley Matthews this time around, so Caldwell-Pope will likely just step directly into his vacated allotment of minutes in tonight’s contest. There’s been no word of a minute restriction for Davis, so he should be good to go following his one-game absence with a right adductor strain, and his presence in the starting lineup will send Markieff Morris back to the bench to resume his usual reserve power forward role this evening.

DeMar DeRozan

Sacramento Kings
1/10/21, 10:24 PM ET

DeMar DeRozan (personal) ruled out Sunday

DeRozan is a late addition to the Spurs’ injury report and won’t be available to play in Sunday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves as he is currently away from the team tending to a personal matter that is also expected to keep him sidelined for Tuesday’s contest. In his absence, one of Trey Lyles or Devin Vassell will likely receive the starting nod alongside Keldon Johnson at one of the forward positions, and while both will see substantial increases in playing time, the player who starts will become one of the better value options on the entire six-game main slate. Additionally, Johnson, Dejounte Murray, Lonnie Walker, and LaMarcus Aldridge should all also see bumps in usage with the first unit sans DeRozan this evening.

Richaun Holmes

Washington Wizards
1/09/21, 11:26 PM ET

Richaun Holmes (ankle) ruled out Saturday

Despite originally being announced in the Kings’ starting lineup, Holmes has officially been ruled out of Saturday’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a sore left ankle. In his absence, Tyrese Haliburton will enter the starting lineup alongside De’Aaron Fox in the backcourt, but head coach Luke Walton already disclosed to reporters that the team plans to monitor the workload of both Haliburton and Fox on the second night of a back-to-back set. With Holmes sidelined, this will allow Marvin Bagley to slide down to the center position in the first unit, and he’ll become an intriguing tournament target on daily fantasy sites across the industry after logging a season-high 29 minutes off the bench in two consecutive games.

Karl-Anthony Towns

New York Knicks
1/09/21, 8:57 PM ET

Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) will start Saturday

Towns has officially been upgraded from questionable and will make his return to the lineup in Saturday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs after missing the previous two weeks due to a dislocated left wrist. Despite the nature of the injury, Towns is still expected to have some kind of minute restriction in tonight’s contest, though it remains unclear just how much of a workload he’ll be able to handle conditioning-wise coming off of a lengthy absence and abbreviated preseason. His return to the starting unit will send Ed Davis back to the bench to resume a reserve role, and it’ll be interesting to see how head coach Ryan Saunders disperses the backup center and frontcourt minutes moving forward.
