Target This Guard Getting Huge Minutes
He’s affordable. He’s played 35 minutes or more in eight of his last nine games. The Warriors rank 22nd in DvP against shooting guards. This game has a massive 131 total that Vegas is expecting to stay close. The analysis is short but it’s because he checks all the boxes I’m looking for.
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (gastroenteritis) ruled out Friday
Luwawu-Cabarrot has officially been ruled out and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Miami Heat after previously being listed as questionable on the Philadelphia 76ers’ injury report with a bout of gastroenteritis. J.J. Redick returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday following a seven-game absence due to a left leg contusion, and Luwawu-Cabarrot saw his role in the rotation drastically reduced, logging just 11 minutes off the bench, while Jerryd Bayless ended up being a DNP-CD despite being cleared to play prior to the game. With Luwawu-Cabarrot now unavailable, Bayless will likely re-enter the rotation in a similar minimal role with T.J. McConnell and Justin Anderson continuing to absorb a majority of the reserve backcourt and wing minutes, respectively.
As reported by: Zack Blatt via TwitterDennis Schroder (shoulder strain) will play Friday
Schroder confirmed with reporters that he has been cleared to play and will suit up for tonight’s game against the Boston Celtics after previously being listed as questionable on the Atlanta Hawks’ injury report with a strained right shoulder he sustained during Wednesday’s loss. His availability means that Malcolm Delaney and Marco Belinelli will remain in their normal reserve roles off the bench and essentially removes them from daily fantasy consideration this evening. Schroder has performed well in the Hawks previous two meetings with this Celtics squad this season, and he led the team with a 30.7% usage rate in those contests while averaging 1.11 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 1.10 on FanDuel, which puts him in play as an under-the-radar tournament option after carrying an injury designation throughout most of the day.
As reported by: Michael Cunningham via TwitterGiannis Antetokounmpo (ankle sprain) will play Friday
Antetokounmpo has officially been cleared to play and will suit up for tonight’s game against the New York Knicks after previously being listed as probable on the Milwaukee Bucks’ injury report with a sprained left ankle he sustained during Thursday’s loss, while Eric Bledsoe has been excluded from the injury report and will return from a one-game absence due to a sore left ankle. After undergoing an MRI this morning, Malcolm Brogdon has been diagnosed with a partially torn left quadriceps tendon and is expected to be sidelined 6-8 weeks. Brogdon suffered the injury during the second quarter of Thursday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and will obviously not be available to play in Friday’s contest. In his absence, Tony Snell will draw the start at shooting guard, while Matthew Dellavedova will step into an increased role off the bench as the primary reserve guard behind Bledsoe in the backcourt. Additionally, Jabari Parker is set to make his season debut after suffering a torn ACL nearly a full year ago but is expected to be limited to around only 15 minutes, so he likely won’t become a relevant option in daily fantasy formats for quite some time.
As reported by: the Milwaukee Bucks via TwitterC.J. Miles (knee) ruled out Friday; Fred VanVleet (personal) available to play
Miles has officially been ruled out and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers after previously being listed as questionable on the Toronto Raptors’ injury report with a sore right knee that has now forced him to miss three consecutive games. Meanwhile, Fred VanVleet is back with the team and will be available to play following a one-game absence due to a personal matter. In Miles absence, Norman Powell will likely absorb a majority of his playing time allotment off the bench, so the news of Miles’ unavailability will do very little to alter head coach Dwane Casey’s wing rotation. Miles typically sees minutes in the upper-teens or low-20s and is rarely relevant in daily fantasy formats on most nights, so expectations for Powell should be tempered for Friday’s slate and moving forward should Miles continue to miss extended time.
As reported by: Ryan Wolstat via Twitter Other tagged players: Fred VanVleetJusuf Nurkic (quad contusion) will play Friday
Nurkic has officially been cleared to play and will start in tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors, according to head coach Terry Stotts, after previously being listed as probable on the Portland Trail Blazers’ injury report with a left quad contusion. Meanwhile, Maurice Harkless and Meyers Leonard remain questionable and probable, respectively, due to their respective ailments but both players are currently out of the regular rotation, so their availability will have no impact on the projected fantasy value of the remaining Trail Blazers players.
As reported by: NBC Sports Northwest via TwitterMyles Turner (sore knee) will play Friday
Turner has officially been cleared to play and will suit up for tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after previously being listed as questionable on the Indiana Pacers’ injury report with a sore right knee. Turner reentered the starting lineup for Wednesday’s win and played extremely well in 33 minutes of action, his highest total in over a month. While Turner may not see quite that type of workload this evening, there still hasn’t been a minute restriction reported, so he should be expected to be a full-go in Friday’s contest. Sabonis saw his playing time dip down to just 21 minutes in that game, so it’ll be interesting to see if that becomes a trend moving forward, as he has typically split the center minutes with Turner for the last month or more. The availability of Turner will also eliminate any possibility that Al Jefferson plays a significant role in the frontcourt rotation for Friday’s matchup.
As reported by: the Indiana Pacers via TwitterCody Zeller (torn meniscus) available to play Friday
Zeller has officially been cleared to play and will suit up for tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers after previously being listed as probable on the Charlotte Hornets’ injury report with torn left medial meniscus that had kept him sidelined for nearly two months. He’ll continue to come off the bench and serve as the primary backup center behind Dwight Howard, but according to head coach Steve Clifford, he’ll be limited to approximately 12-14 minutes in his return to action this evening. The Hornets are still without Marvin Williams for the second consecutive game due to a sprained left ankle, but Frank Kaminsky is no longer listed on the injury report with a sprained right thumb and, as expected, will play. Kaminsky was a bit underwhelming from a fantasy perspective in his first spot start at power forward, but he did log 29 minutes of court time, leaving him in consideration for daily fantasy formats this evening.
As reported by: Rick Bonnell via Twitter Other tagged players: Frank KaminskyGiannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) listed probable Friday; Eric Bledsoe (ankle) available to play
Antetokounmpo is officially listed as probable on the Milwaukee Bucks’ injury report for tonight’s game against the New York Knicks due to a sprained left ankle he sustained during Thursday’s loss, while Eric Bledsoe has been excluded from the injury report with a sore left ankle and will return from a one-game absence. In his absence, Tony Snell figures to draw the start at shooting guard, while Matthew Dellavedova will step into an increased role off the bench as the primary reserve guard behind Bledsoe in the backcourt. Additionally, Jabari Parker is set to make his season debut after suffering a torn ACL nearly a full year ago but is expected to be limited to around only 15 minutes, so he likely won’t become a relevant option in daily fantasy formats for quite some time.
Malcolm Brogdon (partially torn quad tendon) expected to miss 6-8 weeks
After undergoing an MRI Friday morning, Malcolm Brogdon has been diagnosed with a partially torn left quadriceps tendon and is expected to be sidelined 6-8 weeks. Brogdon sustained the injury during the second quarter of Thursday’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves and will obviously not be available to play in the Milwaukee Bucks matchup with the New York Knicks this evening. There has yet to be an update on the availability of Eric Bledsoe, who missed yesterday’s contest with a sore left ankle, while Giannis Antetokounmpo tweaked his ankle in that same game and told reporters that he had trouble putting any weight on the ankle, leaving his status for Friday in some serious doubt. However, Antetokounmpo still remains without an official injury designation on the Bucks’ injury report and the team hasn’t provided an update on his availability either. Jabari Parker is set to make his season debut after suffering a torn ACL nearly a full year ago but is expected to be limited to around 15 minutes, so Khris Middleton figures to be in line for a major boost to his daily fantasy value if Bledsoe and Antetokounmpo are ruled out, as he owns a massive +13.0% usage rate differential with them off the court, equating to a 39.4% usage rate in total.
As reported by: John Schuhmann via TwitterAndre Iguodala (rest) and David West (rest) ruled out Friday
Iguodala and West are new additions to the Golden State Warriors’ injury report and have officially been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings due to rest purposes on the front end of the Warriors back-to-back set. Additionally, Jordan Bell will remain sidelined for at least two more weeks with a swollen left ankle. The Warriors are also without Shaun Livingston for Friday’s contest as he tends to a personal matter, leaving them shorthanded at three positions in the second unit. To help alleviate some of these depth concerns, Quinn Cook has been recalled from the G-League, though Patrick McCaw is more likely to take over Livingston’s role in the rotation. With West and Bell both unavailable, Kevon Looney is likely to step into a larger role in the frontcourt rotation and could see time at both the power forward and center positions this evening.
As reported by: Anthony Slater via Twitter Other tagged players: David WestKyrie Irving (quad), Marcus Morris (hip), and Shane Larkin (knee) ruled out Friday
Irving has officially been ruled out and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks after previously being listed as questionable on the Boston Celtics’ injury report with a right quad contusion that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. Meanwhile, Marcus Morris and Shane Larkin both have also been ruled out due to their respective ailments. Additionally, newly-signed big man, Greg Monroe, won’t be available to make his Celtics debut in Friday’s contest and likely won’t until Sunday at the earliest. The Celtics are already without Marcus Smart for approximately another week or so, meaning Terry Rozier will draw the start at point guard for the second time in as many games after posting an impressive triple-double in 33 minutes in Wednesday’s blowout win. The primary beneficiary with Irving, Smart, Morris, and Larkin off the court is likely to be Al Horford, as he owns a massive +14.6% usage rate differential, equating to a 34.0% usage rate overall, albeit, in a grossly limited sample size.
As reported by: Adam Himmelsbach via Twitter Other tagged players: Shane Larkin, Marcus MorrisAlex Len (sore ankle) ruled out Friday; Tyler Ulis (back) a game-time decision
Len has officially been ruled out and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz after previously being listed as questionable on the Phoenix Suns’ injury report with a sore right ankle that has now forced him to miss four of the last five games. Meanwhile, Tyler Ulis participated in shootaround, but he will go through pregame warmups before a determination of his availability is made for Wednesday’s contest due to a back issue and is currently considered a game-time decision. That said, Ulis is likely to continue to log minimal playing time in interim head coach Jay Triano’s new-look starting lineup and backcourt rotation and saw just 10 minutes in the previous game with Booker healthy. In Len’s absence, Dragan Bender will serve as the backup center behind Tyson Chandler in the frontcourt, while Jared Dudley is likely to remain the rotation and absorb minutes at power forward after logging 19 minutes in Len and Greg Monroe’s absences on Wednesday night.
As reported by: Scott Bordow via TwitterTimothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (gastroenteritis) questionable Friday
Luwawu-Cabarrot has officially been listed as questionable on the Philadelphia 76ers’ injury report for tonight’s game against the Miami Heat due to a bout of gastroenteritis. J.J. Redick returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday following a seven-game absence with a left leg contusion, and Luwawu-Cabarrot saw his role in the rotation drastically reduced, logging just 11 minutes off the bench, while Jerryd Bayless ended up being a DNP-CD despite being cleared to play prior to the game. If Luwawu-Cabarrot, is ruled out closer to tipoff, Bayless would likely re-enter the rotation in a minimal role with T.J. McConnell and Justin Anderson continuing to absorb a majority of the reserve backcourt and wing minutes, respectively.
As reported by: Keith Pompey via TwitterGreat Matchup and Potentially Low Ownership
Joe Ingles isn’t a particularly flashy NBA player, but more often than not, he gets the job done. He draws the best possible matchup tonight, as he squares off against the Suns, who are ranked dead last in points allowed per game. With Joe Johnson potentially getting traded, Ingles should be locked into 30+ minutes at an affordable price point.
