Gary Harris (foot) and Emmanuel Mudiay (ankle) ruled out tonight for Nuggets; Malik Beasley will start for Harris
Harris and Mudiay have been ruled out ahead of Denver’s finale against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Harris and Mudiay will join Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried, Danilo Gallinari, Jameer Nelson, and Will Barton among the Denver unavailable players. In their absences, Juan Hernangomez will receive the starting nod at power forward along with the rookie Malik Beasley, who will start in place of Harris and should be in line for significant playing time with the starting unit as well. With the Nuggets missing out on the playoffs, it should be expected for the young players like Hernangomez, Beasley, and Jamal Murray to absorb a majority of the available playing time vacated by the aforementioned players.

James Ennis (knee) ruled out for Grizzlies tonight
Ennis is nursing a knee injury, so Memphis will give him an extra day of rest ahead of their playoff run. This doesn’t open up anything interesting for fantasy. Memphis will likely limit their starters and roll with a deep rotation, suppressing everyone’s minutes.

Dinwiddie and Hamilton will be inserted into the Nets starting lineup for tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls in place of the resting Jeremy Lin and Brook Lopez. They’ll join Sean Kilpatrick, Quincy Acy, Trevor Booker, and Joe Harris among the unavailable Brooklyn players this evening. With Acy and Kilpatrick sidelined last game, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was the beneficiary 37 minutes and posted up a double-double (17 points, 11 rebounds), whileCaris LeVert saw 28 minutes of action on the wing. All of Brooklyn young guns are in play tonight, but Hollis-Jefferson looks to be the strongest option among them all.

Rondo will play and start in tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets after previously being considered questionable and a game-time decision with a sprained right wrist that had forced him to miss three consecutive games. His return to the starting lineup will send Jerian Grant back to the bench to resume his normal reserve role. Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg stated that he is still undecided on who will be the primary backup point guard behind Rondo this evening, Grant or Michael Carter-Williams. It appears that Rondo won’t be subject to a minute restriction in his return, which on this slate, puts him firmly in play for all formats.

Morris is still active but is not expected to play in tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic due to rest purposes. However, Tobias Harris will play in at least some capacity off the bench, though his exact minute allotment remains unclear. This will allow Stanley Johnson to move into the Pistons starting lineup at small forward, while Darrun Hilliard will likely absorb a majority of the backup point guard minutes. Ish Smith, Henry Ellenson, and Boban Marjanovic all shape up to be viable tournament targets on tonight’s slate given their expected usage and playing time.

With DeRozan out, Norman Powell immediately becomes an intriguing value play. His usage ticks up 3.3% when DeRozan is off. If he manages some time without Kyle Lowry, who could have reduced minutes, he could really take off. When both stars are off the floor, Powell’s usage increases by 9.3% to 31.8% (team high) and his per-minute production rises 0.17 FD ppm to 0.96. An interesting note: on the final game of the season last year he went off for 30 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Both Lowry and DeRozan were held out completely in that one, but it’s nice indication of what he can do if he gets some time without Lowry tonight.

Beasley, Vaughn, and Henson will be inserted into the Bucks starting lineup for tonight’ game against the Boston Celtics in place of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Tony Snell at their respective positions. The Bucks are locked into either the fifth or sixth seed regardless of the outcome of tonight’s contest, which is the reason for resting key rotation pieces this evening. With the aforementioned players unavailable, there is clearly a ton of usage available for the remaining starters to absorb. The primary beneficiaries look to be Beasley, Vaughn, and Greg Monroe off the bench, as they will be relied upon for significantly more offensive production with Malcolm Brogdon running the point.

John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Markieff Morris will rest ahead of the playoffs, letting these guys jump into the starting lineup. Jennings is certainly the most interesting target; when those three are off the court this season, he produces a team-high 1.02 FD ppm. However, Bojan Bogdanovic leads the team with a solid 33.9% usage rate and he returns 1.01 FD ppm. With Porter limited to 15 minutes tonight, he could see some extra minutes tonight.

With Atlanta resting Dennis Schroder, Tim Hardaway Jr., Paul Millsap, and Dwight Howard, there was room for Calderon, Bembry, Ilyasova, and Humphries to join the starting five. When the four starters are off the court, Ersan Ilyasova’s numbers are the most impressive outside of Thabo Sefolosha, who is expected to play around 15 minutes, although he has a very limited sample size of 49.1 minutes. Ilyasova’s usage jumps 7.8% and his DK ppm rate increases to 1.01. Over 162.7 minutes, Prince has a similar bump in usage (7.7%) and he returns 0.84 DK ppm. Another person of interest in Kris Humphries, who scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in his start against Cleveland; he’s produced 0.95 DK ppm in this situation across 163.4 minutes.

Saric will not play in tonight’s game against the New York Knicks due to a sore left heel despite never appearing on the Sixers’ injury report at any point throughout the day. In his absence, Alex Poythress will draw the start at power forward and the Sixers will now be down to just nine available players. One of whom is Tiago Splitter, who remains on a minute restriction of 18 minutes this evening. The Sixers look to be a nice source of some mid-range value options that are locked into starters minutes, as the coaching staff will want to see young players like Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Justin Anderson, Richaun Holmes, and T.J. McConnell close the season on a high note.

Williams is fully expected to play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after previously being listed as questionable on the Rockets’ injury report with a lower back contusion. Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni confirmed that Williams back is still sore, so that does add to the uncertainty of his role in the rotation for tonight’s meaningless contest, though Houston’s regular starters are still projected to at least start the game as normal.

Dion Waiters has been officially ruled out for tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards after previously being listed as doubtful with a sprained right ankle, while Luke Babbitt and Josh McRoberts will active but are highly unlikely to play. Waiters hasn’t played in nearly a month’s time, so his absence will not do much to alter the Heat’s current rotation, though the likelihood of Babbitt and McRoberts not seeing the court raises the minute floor of James Johnson in the starting unit, making him one of the preferred targets from this Heat squad.

Irving and Love will join LeBron James on the sidelines tonight while Tristan Thompson will return from a four-game absence. Deron Williams and Channing Frye will presumably start in their absence. William lit the Heat up on Monday for 35 points while grabbing seven rebounds and contributing nine assists. He’ll be a nice value play once again with the Big Three out. Frye is also a solid pick, he’s produced at least 24.1 FD points in each of the past four games.
