Tony Parker (knee) questionable for Friday
Tony Parker has been upgraded to questionable for Friday’s contest against the Pistons. Patty Mills has been playing great in the absence of Parker and will go back to the bench if Parker returns. His salary has jumped a little across the industry due to the starts, making him a risky play if Parker returns. Once his salary drops and Parker rests, we’ll get chances to play Mills again in the future. Look for another update regarding the status of Tony Parker tomorrow.

Larry Nance (concussion) remains questionable for Thursday
Larry Nance still needs to pass one more test before pregame, before he can be officially ruled in or out. If Nance misses the game, Tarik Black will pick up some extra minutes. Timofey Mozgov can also see extended run with the Kings being one of the teams in the league that has multiple big men. Julius Randle will also pick up a few minutes, but he seems like a risky play based on his inflated price on the road. Mozgov is only $200 above the minimum on DraftKings and FanDuel, making him a viable punt option if Nance misses this game.

Horford is still recovering from a concussion and it does not look as if he will play Friday night against the Knicks. The Celtics have a deep rotation so no one will get a huge bump in playing time but expect Tyler Zeller, Amir Johnson, and Kelly Olynyk to benefit the most.

Wilson Chandler, Darrell Arthur, and Will Barton OUT tonight for Nuggets
Arthur and Barton were expected to be out and Chandler is still recovering from a tight hamstring and will miss his second straight game when Denver plays Golden State tonight. Gary Harris and Kenneth Faried should be the biggest beneficiaries for the depleted Nuggets.

The two Philly big men will both play on Friday against the Pacers. Embiid will not play Saturday while Okafor’s status for that game against Atlanta is not yet determined. Embiid has been elite in his limited minutes thus far this season and will be a viable option despite limited playing time as long as his price is reasonable.

It looks as if the Hornets center will return to action tomorrow against the Raptors – a hit on the value of Cody Zeller and Frank Kaminsky. None of those three will be viable DFS options given the split workload.

The Pelicans guard is getting treatment on his injured toe and stated he will see how it feels game time before deciding whether to play or not. We’ll update his status closer to tip off. Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway would benefit the most if Moore can’t play.

With the Mavs resting players on the second leg of this back-to-back, the starters should see heavy minutes in this one. Coach Carlisle only went eight men deep in last night’s contest against the Lakers and that was with Barea, Matthews and Bogut all active. The offense will continue to flow through Harrison Barnes as he may get 25 shots up tonight. Curry and Powell are also great plays considering their cheap price tag and expected playing time.

Wes Matthews, Andrew Bogut also resting Wednesday
The Mavs are resting quite a few players tonight and only had an eight man rotation last night against the Lakers. With Matthews and Bogut out, all starters should see heavy minutes but it gives the biggest bumps to Seth Curry and Dwight Powell. They are both in play in cash and GPP considering their cheap price and expected playing time in this one.

News broke earlier that Barea may have his minutes monitored tonight on the second leg of a back-to-back against the Warriors. Now they have officially ruled him out which means we get all the Seth Curry in this one. Curry is coming off a monster 23 point performance against the Lakers last night and should see heavy minutes against his brother in tonight’s matchup. Curry is min price on DraftKings and FanDuel and has massive upside with his ability to knock it down from deep. He is a lock and load in all formats.

Noah Vonleh told reporters that he will be starting tonight in place of Aminu (calf). This means that Maurice Harkless will likely start at Small Forward leaving Crabbe and Turner to come off the bench. Harkless played over 30 minutes last night and looked good against the Suns. This is a much tougher matchup tonight against the Clippers who rank third in DVOA vs Small Forward. Because of the minutes, he is worth a look in GPP’s if you’re trying to save salary.

Danny Green (quad) starting tonight
Danny Green will make his 2016-17 season debut tonight against the Houston Rockets. It is unlikely that he will see heavy minutes as he and Manu Ginobili should see minutes in the low to mid 20s. This hurts the little value that Kyle Anderson had early on in the season and he will go back to more of a reserve role moving forward. None of these guys are worth a shot tonight even in a favorable matchup against the Rockets.

Terrence Ross will sit out tonight’s contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder. This should open up a few extra minutes for Norman Powell as the backup Shooting Guard as Ross has seen around 20 minutes every game this season. That being said, Powell is still not worth a flier even in tournaments as he has been ineffective to start this season and the Thunder are ranked third in DVOA vs Shooting Guard.

Tyson Chandler (personal) ruled out tonight. Alex Len will start
Tyson Chandler’s mother has passed away and he will be out tonight for personal reasons. Alex Len started last night against Portland but only played 17 minutes. He should see minutes in the mid 20s in this one as they will need him on the floor to try to contain Andre Drummond. Len is still cheap across the industry but because of the risk for foul trouble and question mark with the usage, he is not a safe play tonight.

As expected, Valanciunas (knee) will be held out tonight and Jakob Poeltl will start in his place tonight against the Thunder. JV being ruled out also opens up some minutes for Pascal Siakam and Patrick Patterson, although none of the three figure to see a big minutes bump – the wealth will likely be spread among them. Poeltl doesn’t have a good draw against Steven Adams and shouldn’t be targeted outside of deep GPPs. Look for Patterson to see about 30 minutes of run with Siakam seeing around 18-24 minutes, but like Poeltl neither of them are recommended DFS options. Kyle Lowry is the only ‘elite’ play on the Toronto side, with DeMar DeRozan now becoming a stronger GPP play.
