Jonas Valanciunas a game-time decision tonight
The Raptors big man will make a decision later today as to whether he will play with his knee injury against the Thunder. Jakob Poeltl would likely get another start but he’s a risky, foul-prone play. The better plays would be Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan who should see an uptick in their already high usage.

Jahlil Okafor will start; on 24 minute restriction
The 76ers big man will get the start tonight with Joel Embiid out for rest purposes. He’s a risky DFS play, however, as he will be on a 24 minute restriction thus capping his upside.

Hill missed the team’s last game and is considered questionable for the Jazz’s game tonight against the Charlotte Hornets. Shelvin Mack got the start last game and played 28 minutes while Dante Exum came off the bench and saw 19 minutes of action. Mack’s price increased so he’s not an auto play but both are in consideration as cheaper guard options despite the tough match up against a Hornets team that is 6th in total fantasy points allowed and 10th in PG DvP.

Updating our previous report that listed Evan Fournier as questionable, Magic Head Coach Frank Vogel stated he would use the same starting five that he used last night against the Timberwolves tonightwhich means Fournier is expected to start. If anything changes in that department we’ll let you know.

Hornets Head Coach Clifford stated he expects MKG to play and start tonight but is unsure how many minutes he will play. The Hornets face a tough Jazz team so it’s not the best match up regardless. Roy Hibbert will continue to remain out – he could possibly return for Friday’s game.

Korver missed the teams last game to attend to the birth of his child and with no shootaround today his status will not be determined until closer to tip-off. He’s likely to play which would cut into the value of Thabo Sefolosha and Tim Hardaway Jr. – we’ll update you once we know for sure Korver’s playing status.

The Boston big man feels good and expects to play tonight when his team takes on the Washington Wizards. It’s uncertain what type of role he will have but we expect him to be somewhat limited his first game back and as such he’s not a viable DFS option. His return reduces the value of Amir Johnson and Tyler Zeller.

Fournier has a sore lower back and is questionable for the Magic tonight when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves. If Fournier can’t go, Mario Hezonja would likely get the start and would be a viable punt option tonight – Jeff Green and Aaron Gordon could also see increased roles. We’ll update you on Fournier’s status later today when more information becomes available.

Dorian Finney-Smith will start over Justin Anderson against the Lakers. It’s likely that he’s less than 1% owned and should not make an impact tonight on the fantasy leaderboards. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs to see if we can jump on the bandwagon for the next game.

James Ennis starting in place of Tony Allen tonight
James Ennis will start at the Shooting Guard position tonight in replace of the injured Tony Allen. He will be joined by Mike Conley, Chandler Parsons, JaMychal Green and Marc Gasol. Ennis was already seeing minutes in the mid 30s so that trend should continue with no Tony Allen tonight. Ennis doesn’t offer much upside but he has an affordable price across the industry. He should see heavy minutes against a Denver Nuggets team that is bottom five in DVOA vs Shooting Guards. He is worth a shot in GPPs.

Wilson Chandler (hamstring) and Darrell Arthur (knee) both ruled out tonight
For those that were hoping for some Darrell Arthur revenge tonight, you’re going to have to wait on that as he and Wilson Chandler have both been ruled out for tonight’s contest against the Memphis Grizzlies. Arthur is still nursing a knee injury and has yet to secure any meaningful minutes in the rotation. Chandler, on the other hand, has been playing a large role in the Nuggets offense with Will Barton sidelined. He is averaging over 29 minutes per game this season so this should open up extra minutes for a few Nuggets players such as Gary Harris and Danilo Gallanari. More importantly is Danilo Gallanari, who played 41 minutes on Sunday against Boston and he should see minutes in the upper 30s to low 40s tonight.

Tony Allen has been ruled out for tonight’s contest against the Denver Nuggets due to a groin injury. This should mean more minutes for James Ennis and Vince Carter. It’s worth noting that Chandler Parsons made his debut on Sunday and played 22 minutes so he may see some more playing time tonight as well. Of those three players, only Ennis is worth a look as a cheap tournament play.

Danny Green will likely start when he returns to court against the Rockets on Wednesday. This will send Kyle Anderson back to the bench and he is no longer a viable fantasy option. He was not one to begin with but he will strictly be used as a defensive stopper. He’ll still likely play about 20 minutes in a pace up game. Tony Parker has been out the last week and is questionable for Wednesday. Patty Mills has played well in his absence and would return to the bench if Parker were to return.

With Chandler (personal) ruled out, Alex Len should see a noticeable increase in playing time in a fast-paced match-up with the Blazers. Portland is 21st in DvP against centers and are second to last in rebounding differential (-5.8), setting up Len for a productive fantasy performance even if he’s unable to crack 30 minutes. Len isn’t the safest of cash game plays – you’ll want to look to Karl-Anthony Towns or DeMarcus Cousins – but he offers a ton of GPP upside at his current price. Len does become a viable cash target on sites that allow you to roster more than one center.

Chandler won’t be available to play in tonight’s game against Portland, as he is dealing with a personal matter. In his absence, Alex Len will likely start at center alongside freshly promoted Marquese Chriss at power forward. Len immediately becomes an elite value play in tournaments and is a borderline cash option against one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA thus far. Len posted a stat line of 18 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 blocks in just 21 minutes against this same Trail Blazers team less than a week ago.
