Allen Crabbe projected as the top value play of the night on DK
Crabbe has seen his minutes trending upwards in the last four games, exceeding value in each of those games. Since there are only two games on the slate tonight, we can expect Klay Thompson, Dwyane Wade, and C.J. McCollum to pick up 90-95% of the ownership. While all three of those guys are solid plays, Crabbe deserves consideration as your second guard, helping to differentiate your lineup with his cheap salary. Crabbe is coming off the bench so he does still carry some risk because his playing time is not guaranteed. He is mainly a scorer but has also picked up his rebounding numbers in the last four games, pulling down a season-high 6 rebounds in Game 1.

Harrison Barnes is a strong play due to the scarcity at SF today
Harrison Barnes played 38 minutes in Game 1 and should easily see 32-36 minutes again tonight. Barnes was able to put up 29.5 DraftKings fpts, providing 7x on Sunday. We can expect that the Trail Blazers will be focusing their defense on Klay Thompson after his playoff career-high, so look for Barnes to get more than 7 shots in this game. Barnes is also cheaper than Andre Iguodala on DraftKings, giving us a little bit more potential upside to work with. Barnes averaged 15.2 fpts against Portland in the regular season but only played over 30 minutes in one of those four contests. The Warriors are projected to score 111+ points so you will need exposure to them outside of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, who will be heavily owned.

There was some speculation earlier in the day that Andre Roberson could be replaced in the starting lineup. The lineups that were provided showed no changes, so Roberson is expected to start again. If he does not play well, we can expect a change when the Thunder return home for Game 3. Roberson averaged 17.53 DK fpts against the Spurs in the regular season and is a viable low-end DFS play with his salary so cheap on DK ($,2,300).

Expect LeBron James to be a heavily owned player after Kevin Durant let everyone down in Game 1. With only two games on the slate, you can eat the chalk at this spot and try to differentiate at other positions. Expect Durant and Westbrook to rebound but James is still the top high-end option tonight at home. James averaged 49.15 fpts against the Pistons in Round 1, giving us a solid floor to work with. James should see his full allotment of minutes with the Cavs only favored by 7.5 points.

Schroder has seen his salary steadily climb in these playoffs but is still a strong punt play on Monday. He averaged 15.76 DraftKings fpts against the Celtics in Round 1, and played over 20 minutes in three games. Schroder is a volatile option so he is a better play in tournaments compared to cash games. With Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook on the slate, Schroder’s ownership should be low, making him a viable option as a second guard. The Cavaliers’ only weakness was against point guards this season based on DvP and DRE, ranking 18th in both. He’s averaged 13.1 fpts against the Cavs this season so the downside is not too low in this instance. If Jeff Teague continues to struggle, expect Schroder to see over 20 minutes on Monday. Teague averaged 37.8 fpts against the Cavs this season, which shows that he does not provide us a ton of upside at his $6,600 asking price. The average is also slightly skewed due to an overtime game where Teague scored 54.5 fpts in 38 minutes, so he will need to play 32+ minutes to exceed value.

The Thunder basically played 4 on 5 on offense since the Spurs did not even respect Roberson on that end. Head Coach Billy Donovan was not pleased with his performance in Game 1 even though the Thunder have been a solid offensive team with Roberson starting the entire season. Nothing official has been mentioned at this time but if there is a change, we can expect it to be Dion Waiters or Anthony Morrow. We will keep you posted but there is a chance the news comes after lineups lock since the Thunder and Spurs play in the second game of the night.

The Warriors are listing Curry as doubtful for Game 2 but Steve Kerr said that he would not play. Shaun Livingston got the start again and was able to put up 25.5 fpts in 29 minutes, returning 5x on DraftKings. Klay Thompson picked up the slack with Curry sidelined by scoring a playoff career-high 37 points and ending up with 57.3 fpts in Game 1. Draymond Green had a triple-double and finished the game with 68.3 fpts. Both players remain elite options against the Blazers for Thursday, but Shaun Livingston should also be considered since he is averaging 28.08 fpts in these playoffs.

Curry was able to do some stand-still shooting on Saturday and is progressing well. The chances are slim that he plays in Game 2 on Tuesday but the Warriors are hopeful for Game 3. Shaun Livingston will continue to start in Curry’s place and should be considered an elite punt option against the Blazers. Portland ranks 25th in DvP and 26th in DRE vs. PGs on the season, making a Livingston a strong upside play on Sunday. Livingston averaged 26.32 fpts against the Rockets in Round 1.

Batum will play off the bench but should not be on your DFS rosters Sunday. He is a risky option that is not expected to play over 16 minutes. As we mentioned earlier, Marvin Williams is an elite option with his salary falling for this game. The Hornets are expected to keep the same starting lineup but no official word has been given yet.

Hawes will play off the bench on Sunday but is expected to be limited. He was originally ruled out for the rest of the series and is likely an emergency option with Tyler Hansbrough ruled out. Hawes is a low-end DFS play and is not expected to be owned by many. In this series, Hawes is averaging 7.56 DraftKings fpts in the three games that have been played in Miami, making him a risky option on Sunday.

Hawes has been upgraded and will play off the bench if he does indeed play. Hasbrough has been ruled out but was not a DFS option even when he was active. We should have another update soon regarding Hawes.

Batum is expected to play off the bench in Game 7. He was not able to play the second half of Game 6, which makes him an extremely risky option for today. It is better to not roster Batum with his minutes also restricted. Expect Marvin Williams to play about 32-34 minutes at SF and PF, making him an elite punt option with his salary dipping under $5k for this contest on both major sites.

Richardson will play off the bench on Sunday and is a viable tournament target. Since he could be limited he is too risky for cash games. Richardson is averaging 17.46 DraftKings fpts in this series, with a high of 22 fpts in Game 2. He is mainly a scorer but has picked up his rebounding and assists in the last three games. Richardson has had four rebounds and two assists in those games, which gives him a solid floor on his sub-4k salary.

The Thunder and Spurs split their season series 2-2, with each team winning both games at home. Ibaka played in three of those games and averaged 27.26 DraftKings fpts in about 35 minutes of action. If Ibaka can stay out of foul trouble against LaMarcus Aldridge, he should be able to play 32-35 minutes. Since LMA and Draymond Green are also on the slate we can expect Ibaka’s ownership to be low. Ibaka will likely play better at home but if you are making multiple lineups, consider Ibaka as a viable play due to his upside while differentiating your lineup. Ibaka scored 34+ fpts in 15 games this season, one of which was against the Spurs and then he also did it once against the Mavs in Round 1. His salary is only $5,600 on both DraftKings and FanDuel which leaves us some potential upside to work with.
Josh Richardson (shoulder) upgraded to a game-time decision
The MRI came back negative on Richardson’s shoulder and the Heat will confirm his status after warmups on Sunday. Richardson is a risky option due to injury and is not recommended at all for cash games. His ownership will be low, so he does have some value for tournaments. Dwyane Wade is the elite guard to use on Sunday because he is expected to play 32-36 minutes.
