Joe Johnson is a solid option at SF based on recent performance
Joe Johnson has been pretty much on fire in the last two games including a 58 DK point performance last night with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. The resurgence of Johnson sends us back to the ’06-’07 season when he was averaging 25 points per game! He gets another incredible matchup tonight vs. the Sixers who are bad at defending pretty much every position. He also makes for an excellent pivot off of the chalky Stanley Johnson tonight. Johnson will be fairly low-owned even though he has had two superb games and his price has only risen $300. He makes for a great option if you want to pay up at PG or stack the Thunder/Warriors game. As odd as it sounds, you can target Johnson with confidence as he is a great candidate to reach value and has a decent amount of upside.
Dante Cunningham will start for Alonzo Gee Saturday
The Pelicans will have a small lineup change Saturday against the Cavs. Dante Cunningham will start for Alonzo Gee. This news has no major fantasy implications since neither player is in play. Cunningham did play 32 minutes last game, but he finished with just 12 FD points.

LeBron is well worth paying up for tonight at SF
Kevin Love has been ruled out tonight, and that means that there is a lot of slack to be picked up from the rest of the Cavs players. LeBron has kind of been coasting over the last month or so, but they have lost their first two games under Tyron Lue, and with Love out it might be time for LeBron to step up and will the Cavs to a win tonight. He makes for a great pivot off of Durant who will likely be heavily-owned because of that record-setting over/under in the Thunder/Warriors game. LeBron offers as much, if not more upside than Durant simply because the Thunder have so many more options at their disposal (namely Russell Westbrook). Both Durant and LeBron are great options, but playing LeBron would help differentiate your GPP lineups.

Nene will miss his second straight game with a calf injury. With Nene out this will solidify the minutes for Jared Dudley. Dudley is still a GPP punt play only. He did play 34 minutes last game with Nene out. He finished with 25 FD points. The Hornets do struggle to defend the 3 and 4 positions.

Mozgov will start for the injured Kevin Love on Saturday. He isn’t a DFS option tonight. His minutes aren’t safe, the Cavs will likely go to a smaller lineup tonight, with Tristan Thompson sliding over to the 5. Mozgov hasn’t play over 20 minutes in a game for a while.

Smith won’t play Saturday after hurting his ankle in last night’s game. McConnell will start in place of Smith. McConnell is a GPP punt only tonight. It’s hard to punt at PG tonight when both Russell Westbrook and Stephen Curry are playing each other in the biggest total of the year. Also Derrick Rose is in a very nice spot.

Love will not play Saturday against the Pelicans after hurting his quad last night. We will have to wait closer to tip time to see who the Cavs start. They will likely start both Tristan Thompson and Timofey Mozgov. Thompson is the better play of the two; Mozgov won’t see a ton of minutes as the Cavs will likely go small. Thompson is just $5,200 on DK and $4,600 on FD. Dellavedova will miss his third straight game with a hamstring injury. This doesn’t really have a lot of fantasy impact, just makes Kyrie Irving a safer play. Iman Shumpert did play 35 minutes last game, but he is a GPP punt play only. Mo Williams just isn’t getting the minutes anymore.
As reported by: Chris Haynes Andrew Wiggins is a viable GPP play with Jimmy Butler out
Jimmy Butler has been ruled out on Saturday because of a knee injury, and while there is a lot of value to be had on the Bulls’ side, let’s look on the other side of the ball with the Timberwolves. Other than Butler, the Bulls are fairly weak defensively, and now Wiggins will get a matchup with E’Twaun Moore at SG. Wiggins has had 30+ real-life points in the last two games and offers some great upside tonight at a relatively thin SG position. Kevin Martin has been out for a bit now, and Wiggins has been called upon to carry a heavy load in both minutes and scoring. He will likely see 38-40 minutes tonight, a huge number especially at his price, and is a great option if you decide to pay up a bit at SG but don’t want to pay all the way up for Thompson.
Ian Mahinmi will play and start Saturday
Mahinmi will start Saturday after missing the last four games with a back injury. He won’t be on any minutes restriction. Mahinmi isn’t a DFS option because there are many better options at Center tonight. His return hurts the value of Jordan Hill and potentially cuts into Myles Turner’s minutes.

Gay is doubtful on Sunday after hurting his ankle last game. With Gay out, Omri Casspi will see the biggest bump in minutes. He is a GPP play only; he isn’t producing like he was earlier in the season. Last game he had just 7 points and 4 rebounds in 28 minutes.

Crabbe won’t play Saturday against the Rockets because of an illness. The biggest bump with Crabbe out will likely go to Gerald Henderson. Over his last two games, Henderson is averaging 25 FD points in 23 minutes. He is just $4,000 on FD and $3,600 on DK. Moe Harkless will also see some more minutes, but isn’t a DFS option.

Vonleh will miss his second straight game Saturday against the Rockets. With Vonleh out, Maurice Harkless will get the start, but he isn’t a DFS option. On Thursday with Vonleh out, Harkless played just 16 minutes and finished with 8 FD points.

Gasol missed last night’s game with a hand injury, and is questionable for tonight’s’ game. Cameron Bairstow started for Gasol, but he isn’t a fantasy option. He only played 10 minutes last night. Bobby Portis is the much better fantasy option. Last night, he finished with 23 FD points in 27 minutes. He is minimum price on FD, and $4,000 on DK. Of course if Gasol misses, Taj Gibson is a very safe cash game play.

After suffering a scary looking injury last night, Butler will not play Saturday. The good news for Butler is this doesn’t seem to be a long-term injury. The two players that benefit from Butler being out are Derrick Rose and E’Twaun Moore. Butler missed Wednesday’s game, and Rose finished with 38 FD points in 35 minutes. In that same game Moore finished with 39 FD points in 38 minutes. Rose has a very attractive price across the industry; he is just $6,500 on DK and $6,200 on FD. Moore is a top value play tonight; he is just $4,500 on DK and $4,000 on FD.

Nene is questionable tonight with a calf injury; he also missed Friday’s game. If Nene can’t go this will solidify the minutes for Jared Dudley. Dudley is still a GPP punt play only. He did play 34 minutes last game with Nene out. He finished with 25 FD points. Humphries being out changes nothing since he has been out for a long period of time. Marcin Gortat is a solid cash game play.
