Cody Zeller heads to the lockers with a bloody nose
Cody Zeller was elbowed in the face by Joakim Noah and headed to the locker room, Frank Kaminsky replaced him in the lineup. Cody Zeller had eight stitches and is available to return to the game.
As reported by: Rick Bonnell TwitterGerald Green Out
Gerald Green will be out tonight with an illness. Justise Winslow becomes an interesting GPP option with the extra minutes he could be provided. Winslow saw 30 minutes and had 21.25 fantasy points on DraftKings in his last game against the Rockets. With Gerald Green out, look for Winslow to carry some momentum into this matchup with the Hawks.
As reported by: Tim Reynolds on TwitterJeff Teague starting Tuesday
Jeff Teague (finger) will be starting tonight against the Heat. Teague would not be a cash game PG, but makes for a decent tournament option. He could explode and have a great night, but his upside is limited by Dennis Schroder.
As reported by: Rotoworld.comKenneth Faried will play on Tuesday
This was expected to be the case all along, so we’re just passing along confirmation. After playing just 14 minutes in the Nuggets last game, Faried is expected to play his normal allotment of minutes in a very nice match-up with the Lakers. This game has the highest total of the night and a very close spread, so Faried is a great upside target in tournaments.
As reported by: Chris Dempsey on TwitterRodney Stuckey GPP flyer
Rodney Stuckey could be a force tonight for the Pacers against the Pistons. The Pistons have allowed guards off the bench to play well against them so far in this young season. Dennis Schroder scored 20 points to go along with 4 assists, and Alec Burks had 18 points with 6 rebounds. Stuckey plays a similar role for the Pacers off the bench, and is only priced at $4,000 on DraftKings. Stuckey makes for a viable cheap option as he is returning to Detriot to face his former team.
Alexis Ajinca to start at center, Babbitt to start at SF
The Pelicans will shift Dante Cunningham to the bench and will start Luke Babbitt at SF on Tuesday. Babbitt is not DFS relevant as a starter and can be ignored in all formats. Ajinca is an interesting punt play as the starting center, but it’s tough to project what his minutes will look like given the match-up with Orlando. They typically like to play small with Nikola Vucevic being the only real threat in the post, so Ajinca is still a dice roll. He’s not cash game viable, but is playable in tournaments.
As reported by: Sean Kelley on TwitterOmer Asik out on Tuesday
With Omer Asik out of the lineup, Ryan Anderson should see in the neighborhood of 30 minutes, and becomes a solid GPP target against Orlando. Alexis Ajinca will provide depth at the center position, but the Pelicans will likely be able to play small if they want to against an Orlando team that doesn’t boast much size.
As reported by: John Denton on TwitterCody Zeller will play, downgrade Marvin Williams
Zeller apparently feels good enough to go tonight, which is not good news for DFS owners hoping to play Marvin Williams. While Williams should still see a healthy number of minutes, Zeller’s presence adds risk to using him in cash games. Zeller reportedly lost about 10 pounds over the past few days and had medical tests run yesterday, but he must be feeling better if he’s able to suit up. His minutes likely won’t exceed 25 given the circumstances.
As reported by: HornetsPRCody Zeller game-time decision
Cody Zeller was suffering from dehydration on Tuesday but will warm up tonight before a decision is made on his availability. Marvin Williams could see extended minutes if Zeller was to miss the game, but Williams is a risky play if Zeller is in action.
As reported by: Charlotte Hornets on TwitterMarcus Morris' price has yet to catch up to his performance
It doesn’t appear that we have to worry about Stanley Johnson unseating Morris anytime soon. Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy has praised Morris multiple times already this season, and he’s been a great addition to a team that is thirsty for offense with the departure of Greg Monroe. Morris allows the Pistons to space the floor more and offers a nice safety valve off of pick and rolls, but the main thing going for Morris (in DFS terms) is the heavy minutes he’s been playing this year. He’s currently averaging just over 38 minutes per game, and should be around that number again tonight vs. Indiana. He’s a really solid play at $5,800 on FanDuel.
J.J. Hickson prepares for extended minutes
J.J. Hickson has only played 3 minutes so far this season for the Nuggets. Joffrey Lauvergne and Nikola Jokic are both nursing back injuries and are game-time decisions. Hickson makes for an interesting GPP punt play with his minimum salary. He is a rebounding machine and looks to get extended minutes in one of the highest scoring games of the night. Hickson is only viable if one or both of Lauvergne/Jokic sits out.
As reported by: Christopher Dempsey on TwitterAndrew Bogut misses Tuesday's practice, unlikely for Wed.
Andrew Bogut did not practice Tuesday and is unlikely to play on Wednesday. With the Clippers on deck, the Warriors may be forced to play big more often than they’d like, which is good news for the DFS value of Festus Ezeli. He’s a viable punt play in match-ups like these, which he showed last night with a strong effort against a tough Memphis frontcourt.
As reported by: Ron Kroichick on TwitterChandler Parsons to remain on minutes limit
Parsons played just 12 minutes on Sunday against the Lakers, and he’s expected to remain on a minutes limit for the foreseeable future. Coach Rick Carlisle said it will be a slow and gradual process working Parsons back to his normal minutes. “It’s just going to take time, but he’ll do better and better as we go along,’’ Carlisle said. “This is something we’re not going to mess around with or take chances with. It’s going to be gradual, it’s going to be done the right way, and as he tolerates it we’ll be able to increase the minutes as we go along.’’ Parsons will not be in play in any DFS format until he’s playing at least 25-30 minutes.
As reported by: Star-TelegramMavs to ease Deron Williams in after recent knee injury
Mavs coach Rick Carlisle has noted that he’ll be careful with how much he plays Deron Williams in the near future after Williams recent return from a knee injury. “We just want to be smart about,’’ Carlisle said of Williams’ minutes. “Is there an exact number? No. Is there an estimated number? Probably.’’ Carlisle said Williams’ minutes snuck up on him and reached the 30-minute mark against the Lakers before he knew it. “Hey, I’ve got to watch it,’’ Carlisle said. “We’ve got plenty of guards, so we’ll deal with it. “He’s an important guy and we want to get him through these couple of little injury things.’’ Williams will be a risky DFS target until we can confirm that his minutes limit has been lifted. Expect him to hang around in the 25 minute range for now.
As reported by: Star-TelegramKristaps Porzingis feeling better, likely to play Wed.
Porzingis injured his neck on what was a scary looking play last night and was down on the court for several minutes, but he’s feeling better today and is likely to play on Wednesday. The rookie has had a relatively strong start to his career, averaging 11.8 PPG, 8.3 RPG and 1.0 BPG, and considering he’s still available in the low to mid range at PF, he’s a viable GPP target in the near future. At this point, we don’t expect Porzingis to be limited at all tomorrow against the Cavs.
