Gordon has been suspended indefinitely without pay for violating the NFL policies on performance-enchancing substances and substances of abuse. Suspensions have been frequent throughout Gordon’s career, and the talented receiver could be out of chances in the NFL. He was claimed earlier this season by Seattle after the Patriots waived him, and he totaled just 7 catches for 139 yards in 5 games with the Seahawks.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Monday that Cook’s shoulder injury is one that the RB could play through. This does open the door for him to play this week, but he will be hard to trust after he was forced out of the last game. He does have one extra day to rest, as the Vikings face the Packers next Monday.

The Panthers are turning to rookie 3rd-round draft pick Will Grier at QB this week, benching Kyle Allen. Taking over for an injured Cam Newton, Allen started hot, going 4-0 his first four starts with a 7-0 TD-INT ratio. Allen has thrown 15 INTs in the eight games since, and the Panthers have gone 1-7. Grier finished his college career at West Virginia and is yet to take a snap this season.
