For each segment, the Fantastic Four will include my top 4 pitchers for tournaments on FanDuel and DraftKings. They’ll sometimes include plays picking up ownership if I feel like the rostership still doesn’t reflect their upside. Typically, if there is a cash game lock and someone who is pushing 50% rostered, these pitchers won’t get mentioned. However, sometimes on smaller slates, four pitchers won’t be an option.

The Fantastic Four – Best MLB DFS Picks

Tonight, we don’t even have to separate this group into four distinct paragraphs, because my strategy is simply to only pay up for the top guys on the board. I’m running 150 lineups tonight, and my pool will be cut down to Shohei Ohtani, Corbin Burnes, Max Scherzer, Charlie Morton and a sprinkle of Kevin Gausman. Although there are some lower-priced options that project well, I don’t view any of them with the same power-set needed to rise to the level of GPP take-down hero status. For tournaments, my favorite option is Ohtani. All of these options are fantastic, but Ohtani is the one who projects the worst, leading to a discount in rostership. While the matchup has some risk, Ohtani gets the top strikeout matchup on the board in the Braves. I’m not messing around with anything fancy tonight, I’m simply playing the top pitchers while going significantly overweight on Ohtani.

Earth’s Mightiest MLB DFS Stacks For Today

While the top pitching options tonight are clear, the bats are much more spread out. The Brewers are the only team on the board who’s getting rostered more than I am comfortable with on such a large slate, so they’ll be the one top stack I’ll likely be underweight on.

Arizona Diamondbacks – Although the Diamondbacks are getting played by the field, the matchup for their righties against Corbin is too good for me to pass up. Carson Kelly is my favorite bat on the entire slate. If they end up being projected to be rostered at an uncomfortable amount, I’ll ensure the majority of my Arizona stacks are paired with Ohtani.

Tampa Bay Rays – The Rays get a solid matchup against Brad Keller, who although he isn’t awful, is still one of the worst pitchers on the slate. The player in particular for the Rays I have a ton of interest in is Brandon Lowe, whose ability to get the ball in the air can counteract Keller’s groundball skills. This is an interesting full stack that I think is going overlooked and I’m interested in getting to in bunches today.

Philladelphia Phillies – Another team that may be rostered by the field and I have interest in pairing with Ohtani. Rhys Hoskins and Nick Castellanos are right up alongside Kelly with my favorite plays on the slate. Alec Bohm provides nice salary relief at a weaker position today in the middle of the lineup, and if they were easier to stack with Arizona, I’d be getting a LOT of them tonight.

Additional Top Stacks for Tournaments: Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers, New York Yankees
