It is a big night across the industry. There are too many qualifiers to list. Here is todays Grind Down to get you started on your first step to winning one of these things.

Las Vegas
- OU 8.5
- Favored DET -185
Pitchers
- Home Max Scherzer is a huge favorite today and has the most upside out of any pitcher going today. The only question is if a hot CLE offense can get to him today. At his price, you need a lock down performance but his K totals offer a lot of wiggle room. CLE is batting is batting .280 on the road, .269 versus right-handers, and .275 over the last 7 days with 13 HRs. However, Scherzer has held the team to a .231 BAA. In Play
- Away Corey Kluber, this one should be obvious to you. DET is batting .317 at home, .284 vs. right-handers, and.302 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batters
- Home I expect Kluber to pitch okay today so do not over do things but everyone from DET is in play.
- Away If you are playing the fade then ride the hot streak of Jason Kipnis, Mark Reynolds and Asdrubal Cabrera. Jason Giambi is cheap and could go yard against Max. Nick Swisher has encouraging BvPs versus Max, also.

| Jeff Samardzija – (1-4), 3.09 ERA, 10.83 K/9, 1.17 WHIP | Ross Detwiler – (1-3), 2.5 ERA, 5.25 K/9, 1.39 WHIP | ||||||

CHC BvP | CHC vs L | WSN BvP | WSN vs R

Las Vegas
- OU 7
- Favored WAS -139
Pitchers
- Home Ross Detwiler is probably the least sexy pick going tonight and I am not talking about his beard. His ERA, WHIP and K/9 are all good but not great and he always seems to pitched just well enough to keep things interesting. CHC is batting .207 on the road, .242 versus left-handers, and .265 over the last 7 days. Personally, I like to take a guy with more upside but if he pitches spotless against this Cubs team he could end up being a very solid play. In Play
- Away The only thing that I do not like about Jeff Samardzija is his 1-4 record. He is the dog again today. Of course, he has huge upside but as long as he plays for the Cubs is a long shot to get the W. I am not in love with him on the road but he has pitched well away from Wrigley on the year. WAS is batting .242 at home, .245 versus right-handers, and .249 over the last 7 days. In Play
Batters
- Home Adam LaRoche has been the hottest Nat producing 19.5 fp. He is 2-8 versus Samardzija with 2 HRs. Ian Desmond is 5-10 off of him also and Bryce Harper is batting .366 versus right-handed pitching
- Away Alfonso Soriano continues his hot streak producing 28.75 fp over the last week. He is batting .421 versus left-handed pitching. Anthony Rizzo has been hot, also, producing 28.75 fp. The left-hander has hit lefties well this year with a .342 batting average. Starlin Castro is 3-6 off Detwiler and is known to love hitting lefties as well.
Toronto at Boston

| PvB | (0-0 H/AB) 0 BA-A, 0 K%, 0 OPS-A | PvB | (58-268 H/AB) 0.216 BA-A, 26.49 K%, 0.701 OPS-A | ||||

TOR BvP | TOR vs L | BOS BvP | BOS vs R
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 9
- Favored BOS -210
Pitchers
- Home Jon Lester has been one of the more consistent options this year in daily fantasy. He has held TOR as a team to a very low BAA of .216. They are a combined 58-268 with 11 HRs. He is the huge favorite and seems a lock to get the win. The OU is high so there is some cause for concern but the numbers are there. TOR is batting .235 on the road, .249 versus left-handers, and .273 over the last 7 days. Target
- Away Ramon Ortiz is the reason why that high OU does not scare me. He has had a decent career as a fifth starter but at 39 is at the tail end of things. I doubt he makes it 5 IP even if he pitches well and odds are he will not. BOS is batting .267 at home, .283 versus right-handers, .243 over the last 7 days.
Batters
- Home Gentleman start your BOS stacks. David Ortiz numbers are worth noting. He is 5-15 with 4 HRs.
- Away Melky Cabrera and Maicer Izturis have the only positive BvPs versus Lester. Melky Cabrera, Jose Bautista, and Edwin Encarnacion have been hot if you are playing the fade.
Milwaukee at Cincinnati

| Yovani Gallardo – (3-1), 4.5 ERA, 5.57 K/9, 1.4 WHIP | Tony Cingrani – (2-0), 2.63 ERA, 12.38 K/9, 0.83 WHIP | ||||||
| PvB | (49-156 H/AB) 0.314 BA-A, 12.82 K%, 0.974 OPS-A | PvB | (0-0 H/AB) 0 BA-A, 0 K%, 0 OPS-A | ||||
| ROAD | (1-1), 6 ERA, 0 HRA, 3.8 K/9, 1.667 WHIP | HOME | (1-0), 2.25 ERA, 2 HRA, 12.8 K/9, 1.083 WHIP | ||||
| BATTER SPLITS BREAKDOWN | |||||||
MIL BvP | MIL vs L | CIN BvP | CIN vs R
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 8
- Favored CIN -142
Pitchers
- Home Tony Cingrani may have given up 4 ER in his last start but it was off of only 3 hits. He has a sick 0.83 WHIP on the year and a nice K/9 to go with it. If he could just make it a little deeper into games then he would be a daily fantasy stud. MIL is batting .229 on the road, .289 versus left-handers, and .303 over the last 7 days so the splits favor them but you have to like the upside this kid brings into the matchup. Target
- Away Yovani Gallardo has pitched uninspiring so far this year and draws a CIN team that has a .314 BAA vs him. The OU is low so Vegas likes him to pitch well enough but the numbers look really bad for him. CIN is batting .262 at home, .234 versus right-handers, and .255 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batters
- Home Jay Bruce is 12-29 versus Gallardo with 2 HRs. Joey Votto is 8-25 versus him with 1 HR. Shin-Soo Choo is batting .364 versus right-handed pitching and has been the hottest Red producing 30.75 fp over the last 7 days.
- Away Carlos Gomez, Ryan Braun, and Aramis Ramirez are all batting over .400 verus left-handed pitching if you want to play the fade.
Pittsburgh at NY Mets

| Wandy Rodriguez – (2-2), 4.02 ERA, 7.23 K/9, 1.09 WHIP | Shaun Marcum – (0-2), 7.2 ERA, 7.2 K/9, 2.1 WHIP | ||||||
| PvB | (25-95 H/AB) 0.263 BA-A, 13.68 K%, 0.842 OPS-A | PvB | (24-111 H/AB) 0.216 BA-A, 24.32 K%, 0.712 OPS-A | ||||
| ROAD | (0-1), 8.49 ERA, 5 HRA, 5.4 K/9, 1.971 WHIP | HOME | (0-1), 6.75 ERA, 0 HRA, 6.8 K/9, 1.75 WHIP | ||||
| BATTER SPLITS BREAKDOWN | |||||||
PIT BvP | PIT vs R | NYM BvP | NYM vs L
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 7.5
- Favored PIT -110
Pitchers
- Home Shaun Marcum is unplayable until he can make it 5 IP in a start. He has been getting hammered and does not have all that good of numbers versus PIT to begin with. PIT is batting .226 on the road, .250 versus right handers, and .233 over the last 7 days. I think you see all of those numbers jump up today. Avoid
- Away Wandy Rodriguez s been an 8.49 pitcher on the road so far this year. He has always been a player that was known to pitch better at home than on the road. He has limited K/9 upside and seems too risky today even though the OU is low and he is favored to get the win. NYM are batting .217 at home, .232 versus left-handers, and .207 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batters
- Home David Wright gets the splits in his favor today and has been the most productive Met producing 18 fp. He is 7-24 off of Wandy with 1 HR. Ruben Tejada is always a nice value play against left-handed pitching. He is 5-7 vs him also. John Buck and Marlon Byrd have positive BvPs as well.
- Away You know the deal, Marcum is struggling so everyone is in play. Starling Marte and Andrew McCuthchen have both been hot. Garrett Jones, Pedro Alvarez and Jose Tabata have good BvPs vs. Marcum. Tabata is DTD.
