Pitchers
- Home Two stud lefties face off today and my money is on the Giants lefty to come out of this one with the win. Madison Bumgarner has been very good at home over the years and the Nats continue to struggle to score runs. Bum’s 11 K’s per 9 innings at home is very enticing and I think he really pitches well. Target
- Away Gio GOnzalez is in play today just because he is Gio Gonzalez. He just can’t seem to stay out of trouble though, especially when he is on the road. He has a 6.1 ERA away from home. I think he is a solid against the grain play, but don’t target him in h2h and 50/50 leagues. In Play
Batters
- Home Buster Posey is always in play when he faces a lefty. He is batting .333 against lefties and .367 at home this season. He is certainly in play, especially if the price isn’t too expensive. I like Marco Scutaro as well, he is pretty matchup proof and has been on a tear.
- Away The Nationals have just not been that great of an offensive team lately. They rank toward the bottom in plenty of offensive statistics and a matchup against Bumgarner isn’t a good one.

Pitchers
- Home Mark Buehrle has everything that I do not want to see in my starting pitcher: high ERA and WHIP, low K rate, and a bad matchup. While his BvP against the Rays isn’t bad, don’t fall in love with statistics that could have been from many years ago. Avoid
- Away Jeremy Hellickson finally got a win to snap his winless streak, but he allowed 8 earned runs in that win. He has been awful on the road this season. Expect this game to be a high scoring game that involves short outings for both pitchers. Avoid
Batters
- Home Jose Bautista is 5/13 with a HR against Hellickson, Melky Cabrera is 4/7 against him and riding a hot streak, Edwin Encarnacion is really playing well, and my super sleeper pick of Colby Rasmus looks like he could get another HR today.
- Away Load up on the right hand bats of the Rays today. Desmond Jennings, Ben Zobrist, and Evan Longoria should all be on your radar.

Las Vegas
- OU 9.0
- Favored Pick ‘Em
Pitchers
- Home Jason Hammel has allowed 13 earned runs in his last two starts and has an ERA at home that is inching close to a snowman. It’s looking like his breakout season last year was a bit of a fluke. Until he can turn things around, Avoid
- Away Hiroki Kuroda has been excellent this season. He is 6-2 with a 1.99 ERA and a WHIP under 1. While the matchup against the Orioles isn’t great, I do think he picks up the win. There are still much better options out there though. In Play
Batters
- Home Kuroda has been very good against the Orioles in the past, but Vegas knows it’s stuff better than I do and they expect the Orioles to score some runs today. The left hand bats of Davis, McLouth and Markakis would probably be the only ones I would take a shot on.
- Away Hammel has been awful and the Yankees are full of left hand bats. I think they put up a big number today against the Orioles. I don’t want to single any of them out, so get them in your lineup.

Las Vegas
- OU 7.0
- Favored PIT -128
Pitchers
- Home Don’t look now, but Francisco Liriano is dealing! He must be taking the same thing that Ubaldo is taking (Gatorade chews of course). Liriano is 2-0 with 16 K’s over his first two stars with only 2 earned runs. It’s crazy to say this, but Target
- Away Jeff Samardzija also has a great matchup today. He has a great strikeout rate of 10 K’s per 9 innings and the Pirates aren’t the best offensive team. If you don’t trust Liriano, then get Samardzija in your lineup. Target
Batters
- Vegas expects this to be low scoring and full of strikeouts, two things that we don’t love in daily fantasy baseball. I’m going to look elsewhere for hitters.

Las Vegas
- OU 8.0
- Favored DET -132
Pitchers
- Home Ubaldo Jimenez has been on fire (Gatorade chews). In his last 4 games, he has 29 K’s, while only allowing 5 earned runs. I’d love for him to keep this up and I’m rooting for the guy, but I’m not going to trust him with my bankroll today against the Tigers. Avoid
- Away Justin Verlander had one of the worst starts in his career in his last outing against the Rangers. While you have to expect the Cy Young winner to bounce back, the Indians offense has been on fire lately. In Play
Batters
- Home Michael Brantley is the one and only Indian with good BvP numbers against Verlander. I don’t suggest taking him, but he is 11/25 against him in his career.
- Away I think this is where Ubaldo’s run comes to an end. I think the Tigers get a couple of HR’s off of him today. Miggy and Fielder are both on my radar.
