What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – WAS -126
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Jeff Samardzija ERA has gone up every month since May. He is an absolute Tailspin here in August with a 9.39 ERA and .353 BAA. He has high K upside but he is pitching far to badly to consider him today. WAS is batting .223 on the road, .253 versus right-handers, and .279 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 5
- Away Jordan Zimmermann numbers take a slight dip on the road but they are still very playable. The knock on him has always been that he does not get enough Ks for his price but I think he is in a great spot today against a CHC team that has recorded the 4th most Ks since the All-Star break. Wainwright had 11 Ks against them yesterday so there is no reason to think that Zimmermann cannot have 7 or 8. CHC is batting .247 at home, .243 versus right-handers, and .196 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 9
Batter Grind Down
- Home Anthony Rizzo has an HR in 5 AB versus Zimmermann if you want to gamble. RG Stack Rating 1
- Away Adam LaRoche is 4-11 with 2 HRs versus Jeff. Ian Desmond is 8-13 with 1 HR. Jayson Werth has been hot for WAS with 25.5 fp over the last 7 days.RG Stack Rating 4

STL vs R | STL BvP | MIL vs R | MIL BvP |
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8
- Favored Team – STL -142
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Marco Estrada has looked good in his last 2 starts but he has only thrown 76 pitches in each of them. I do not like to take a player whose upside seems to be capped. He runs into a tough draw in STl anyway so he is easy to avoid today. STL is batting .272 on the road, .288 versus right-handers, and .223 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 3
- Away Shelby Miller threw over 100 pitches in his last start so I think it is safe to play him tonight. He has been great at home all year with a 1.99 ERA. He seemed a little rusty in his last outing but gets an easier matchup today in MIL. MIL is batting 248 on the road, .248 versus right-handers and .227 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 8
Batter Grind Down
- Home Miller has allowed left-handers a .277 BAA. Kris Davis and Scooter Gennette have been hot for MIL. Aoki has the only set off positive BvPs versus Miller RG Stack Rating
- Away STL owns a .336 BAA versus Estrada as a team. Yadier Molina ‘s 9-18 with 1 HR is the most impressive. Jon Jay and Matt Carpenter have been hot for STL. RG Stack Rating 7

CLE vs R | CLE BvP | LAA vs R | LAA BvP |
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – LAA -130
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Jered Weaver got smashed in his last outing but he is a much better pitcher at home where his ERA is a very low 2.25. He draws a CLE team that season is slipping away and just does not seem to have the same intensity that they did a month ago. CLE is batting .255 on the road, .248 versus right-handers, and .226 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 9
- Away The splits really favor LAA in this matchup. Though, the sample size is very small for Danny Salazar . The thing that worries me about him today is that he only threw 76 pitches in his last outing. Vegas has faith in him to keep it close. He gets a decent amount of Ks and he will be cheap. LAA is batting .277 at home, .270 versus right-handers, and .260 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 4
Batter Grind Down
- Home Salazar has struggled on the road and versus right-handers. LAA hits right-handers very well as a team. Trumbo, Nelson, Hamilton, and Trout (if hr plays) have all been hot for LAA. RG Stack Rating 6
- Away Jason Giambi and Carlos Santana have positive BvPs versus Weaver. Jason Kipnis is the only Indian producing at the moment. RG Stack Rating 2

SEA vs R | SEA BvP | OAK vs R | OAK BvP |
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8
- Favored Team – OAK -180
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Jarrod Parker has been great at home. He is a big favorite again today there. He draws a SEA team that has been struggling lately and has recorded the 3rd most Ks on the year. SEA is batting .239 on the road, .250 versus right-handers and .228 over the last 7 days RG Start-Ability8
- Away Aaron Harang has been bad at home. He has been awful on the road. OAK is an easy place to pitch but OAK is also swinging the bat well right now. OAK is batting .238 at home, .243 versus right-hander, and .234 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 2
Batter Grind Down
- Home Rual Ibanez is 4-11 with 2 HRs versus Parker. Kyle Seager and Brad Miller have been hot for SEA. RG Stack Rating 2
- Away Josh Reddick has been very hot over the last 7 days. He draws the righy lefty splits in his favor. Chris Young is 7-24 with 3 HRs versus Harang. RG Stack Rating 8

PIT vs R | PIT BvP | SDP vs L | SDP BvP |
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 6.5
- Favored Team – PIT -135
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Andrew Cashner has been very good agt home with a 2.75 ERA. He got pummelled the last tim he faced PIT. Vegas likes him to keep it close but I do not think that he can hold PIT scoreless and I am equally unsure that SDG can score on Liriano. RG Start-Ability 6
- Away PIT got their more than they expected out of Francisco Liriano this year. He has been one of the NLs best pitchers. His numbers take a significant dive on the road. His road ERA is a very high 3.75 but he should get some help from this park today and SDG has struggled to score runs all year at home. SDG is batting .241 at home, .251 versus left-handers, and .270 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 8
Batter Grind Down
- Home Andrew McCutchen has been very productive and is always in play. The left-handed bats got to Cashner last time so take a look at them as well. RG Stack Rating 6
- Away Will Venebal and Jedd Gyorko have been productive for SDG. Liriano has been dealing lately so I would not dig too deep into SDG. RG Stack Rating 2

BOS vs R | BOS BvP | SFG vs L | SFG BvP |
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7
- Favored Team – BOS -125
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Tim Lincecum is your really high risk/reward player of the day. He has been up and down all year. He runs into a BOS offense that is the league’s 2nd highest scoring but also has recorded the 3rd most Ks on the year. He is a little too risky today for my taste but he has GPP winning upside if you want to gamble. BOS is batting .263 on the road, .285 versus right-handers, and .270 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 5
- Away I do not like Jon Lester that much today even though he is the slight favorite for 2 reasons. First, his numbers take a dip away from BOS. Second, SFO’s best hitter feed off of left-handed pitching and their bats have been hotter lately. SFO is batting .254 at home, .261 versus left-handers, and .286 over the last 7 days.RG Start-Ability 6
Batter Grind Down
- Home Buster Posey, Hunter Pence Marco Scutaro, and Pablo Sandoval all hit left-handers for a high average. Scutaro is 7-22 versus Lester. RG Stack Rating 5
- Away Vegas expects Tim to keep this game close but we all know he could explode at any given time. BOS is good at exploding other teams starting pitcher. Will Middlebrooks and David Ortiz have been producing well for BOS RG Stack Rating 6
