Pitcher Grind Down
- Shelby Miller – Lance Lynn pitched a gem last night in Coors, but I have a feeling that Miller will be in for a much different outing. There are obviously outliers, but for the most part, you want to avoid all pitchers in Coors. Rating = 2
Salaries: $6800 FD, $14505 DS, $13500 DD, $6900 DK, $93300 FF, $20200 SS, $13500 FTD
- Jorge De La Rosa – De La Rosa actually has pretty decent numbers at Coors Field over the last 2 seasons, but once again, taking pitchers in Coors is not a great strategy for long-term DFS success. The total for this game is set at 10.5 runs for a reason. Rating = 2
Salaries: $5900 FD, $10451 DS, $11100 DD, $5500 DK, $47800 FF, $13200 SS, $11100 FTD

St. Louis
Allen Craig – Hopefully Craig and Molina’s hitless performances last night will scare some people off of them tonight. All of the RHB’s in this lineup are in play tonight. Craig has always hit LH pitching well and has a .351 wOBA against them this season.
Additional Plays: Matt Holliday, Yadier Molina, Jhonny Peralta
Colorado
Corey Dickerson – After being shut-out in last night’s loss to the Cards, the Rockies have to be chomping at the bit to get back on the field. I’m expecting a huge bounce back game from this offense. Don’t be afraid to stack up the Rockies here. Dickerson takes the take as my top play as he has a .479 wOBA against RH pitching this season.
Additional Plays: Charlie Blackmon, Troy Tulowitzki, Justin Morneau, Wilin Rosario

Pitcher Grind Down
- Justin Masterson – Masterson has been a boom or bust fantasy option all season long. If you look at his game logs, his production has been all over the board over his last 10 games. Masterson has a tough matchup tonight against the D-Backs in the hitter-friendly Chase Field. I think there is more risk than reward with Masterson tonight. Rating = 4
Salaries: $7000 FD, $12906 DS, $11100 DD, $6700 DK, $71000 FF, $17800 SS, $11100 FTD
- Wade Miley – Miley has been much better in his last 7 starts and he actually draws a decent matchup tonight against the Indians who are ranked 26th against LH pitching. There are certainly safer options for cash games, but Miley does offer nice upside as a tournament play. Rating = 5
Salaries: $6400 FD, $13906 DS, $13750 DD, $7900 DK, $83500 FF, $21500 SS, $13750 FTD
Batter Grind Down
Cleveland
Carlos Santana – Santana hasn’t hit for a high average this season, but he does have great power when he makes contact. He has a .343 wOBA against LH pitching this season and has 11 hits over his last 10 games.
Additional Plays: Asdrubal Cabrera
Arizona
Miguel Montero – Masterson gives up a much higher wOBA to LHB’s than he has to RHB’s throughout his career. Montero has a .390 wOBA against RH pitching this season and is one of the top plays at catcher tonight.
Additional Plays: Didi Gregorious, Paul Goldschmidt

Pitcher Grind Down
- Kyle Gibson – Gibson hasn’t allowed a single earned run in any of his last 3 starts. He’s shut out the Astros, Tigers, and Red Sox. While that’s extremely impressive, he only has a K/9 of 4.9 and he draws a very tough matchup against the Angels who are ranked 9th against RH pitching this season (.322 wOBA). Rating = 4
Salaries: $5500 FD, $11933 DS, $12150 DD, $7500 DK, $86200 FF, $20800 SS, $12150 FTD
- C.J. Wilson – Wilson has been terrific at Angels Stadium this season with a 2.45 ERA and a K/9 of 8.1. He is one of my favorite pitchers to target tonight. The Twins are ranked 19th against LH pitching this season while striking out at a 23% clip. He’s a huge favorite in a game that features a low total. Rating = 9
Salaries: $8300 FD, $17429 DS, $16450 DD, $9200 DK, $94900 FF, $25600 SS, $16450 FTD

Minnesota
Josh Willingham – If you like BvP, then you may want to target Willingham tonight. In 24 career at-bats against Wilson, Willingham 8 hits, 5 of which went for extra bases. He also has a .382 wOBA against LH pitching this season.
Additional Plays: None
LA Angels
Josh Hamilton – Since the start of last season, Gibson has given up a .339 wOBA to LHB’s. Hamilton on the other hand has always crushed RH pitching. I like Hamilton on sites that don’t negate for strikeouts.
Additional Plays: Kole Calhoun, Mike Trout

Pitcher Grind Down
- Jake Peavy – Peavy has really had a down season. He is sporting a 4.52 ERA and his K-rate has gone down from that of the last 2 seasons. While he does have a favorable matchup against the Mariners, I would continue to avoid Peavy in all leagues. He just doesn’t have that same upside that he has in year’s past. Rating = 4
Salaries: $6500 FD, $11483 DS, $11850 DD, $6700 DK, $66600 FF, $15500 SS, $10950 FTD
- Erasmo Ramirez – It looks like sending Ramirez back to the minor leagues to get some confidence has paid off as he hasn’t allowed a single earned run in any of his last 3 starts. Ramirez has always had great stuff, he’s just had trouble putting it all together. He could make an interesting tournament play tonight against the Red Sox who are ranked 21st against RH pitching this season. Rating = 5
Salaries: $5700 FD, $10303 DS, $9700 DD, $6000 DK, $63400 FF, $13800 SS, $9700 FTD
Batter Grind Down
Boston
David Ortiz – Ortiz has a nice matchup against Ramirez. He’s really struggled against LHB’s this season and Ortiz still has plenty of power in that bat.
Additional Plays: Brock Holt
Seattle
Robinson Cano – Cano continues to hit singles and doubles. While he only has 4 HR’s on the season, he still has a .384 wOBA against RH pitching. He also has a favorable matchup against Peavy who has struggled against LHB’s this season.
Additional Plays: Kyle Seager, Logan Morrison

Pitcher Grind Down
- Jesse Hahn – After his first 3 major league starts, Hahn is sporting a 2.16 ERA with 19 K’s over 16 innings of work. He’s still a rookie pitcher though and he plays for the Padres who have a historically bad offense. He’ll likely be on the hook for the loss even if he pitches well. Rating = 4
Salaries: $5500 FD, $12223 DS, $13800 DD, $8000 DK, $85800 FF, $22400 SS, $13800 FTD
- Tim Hudson – Hudson may be the safest cash game play tonight. His price is affordable, he has the best matchup on the board, and he has been terrific at AT&T Park this season. Rating = 9
Salaries: $7800 FD, $17685 DS, $17000 DD, $8700 DK, $89900 FF, $26700 SS, $17000 FTD
Batter Grind Down
San Diego
Even though the Padres managed to put up 6 runs last night, I’m not expecting a repeat performance against Hudson. Avoid all Padres’ hitters tonight.
San Francisco
Hunter Pence – The sample size is small, but Hahn is giving up a .360 wOBA against RHB’s this season. Pence has a .368 wOBA against RH pitching and has been on fire with 17 hits over his last 10 games.
Additional Plays: Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval
