Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Saturday, July 28th

America’s pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.
Pitching Option

Patrick Corbin (FD Price $9600)
Corbin has 7-4 record with a 3.13 ERA and a 10.99 K/9. He faces a San Diego lineup ranked dead last in wOBA (.289) and K% (25.5). Corbin dominated the Cubs last time out and has yielded two runs or less in five of his last six starts.
Hitting Options
C/1B) Justin Smoak, Toronto (FD Price $3500)
He produced for us yesterday and we are coming right back with him on Saturday. Smoak owns a .374 wOBA vs. RHP and an overall .423 wOBA in July. Meanwhile, opposing starter Lucas Giolito is yielding a .383 wOBA to lefties.
2B) Lourdes Gurriel, Toronto (FD Price $2800)
After his two-home run game Friday night, Gurriel has produced a team-record tying nine consecutive multi-hit games. He’s batting .323 against RHP with a .375 wOBA.
3B) Rafael Devers, Boston (FD Price $2900)

Since his return from the disabled list, Devers has hit safely in five of six games. Starter Jake Odorizzi is allowing lefties a .367 wOBA.
SS) Chris Taylor, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD Price $3400)
He’s been a solid performer as a fill-in for Corey Seager with a .340 wOBA. Max Fried has not pitched since July 5 (3.0 IP, four runs allowed) and a trip to the disabled list and is likely to be rusty.
OF) Curtis Granderson, Toronto (FD Price $2900)
The price is right to come back with Granderson against right-hander Giolito. Granderson homered yesterday off a RHP Reynaldo Lopez to bring his wOBA against RHP to .340.
OF) Nelson Cruz, Seattle (FD Price $3500)

Cruz has produced a stunning .435 wOBA against RHP away from Safeco Field. He faces righty Jaime Barria, who struggles more against RHB (.398 wOBA) than lefties (.288 wOBA).
OF) Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Angels (FD Price $3200)
Yes, Ohtani is listed as an outfielder. Ohtani has dominated RHP to the tune of a .424 wOBA which rises to .445 wOBA at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
UTIL) Kendrys Morales, Toronto (FD Price $3200)
The switch-hitting Morales’ bat has come alive in July (.445 wOBA) and should rake against Giolito, who is yielding a .383 wOBA to lefties.
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.
Toronto Blue Jays We are doubling up on the Blue Jays who posted 10 runs Friday night. Smoak, Gurriel, Granderson and Morales combined for seven hits, five runs, six RBI and four home runs. We look for more of the same on Saturday.
