Tuttle’s Take:
It’s time. We have been waiting for it and the time has finally come – full playing time for Josh Gordon. After back-to-back weeks of logging just 18 snaps with the Patriots, Gordon was on the field for 63 of the Patriots 78 offensive snaps and ran a route on 39 of Tom Brady’s 41 dropbacks. Gordon only caught five balls for 42 yards, but was targeted nine times and had a 27.9% market share of the Patriots air yards in Week 6. This isn’t an ideal spot for Gordon, but his price tag is certainly too low if he carries over the workload he saw in Week 6. Gordon isn’t a cash game option, but he’s a guy that I want to be overweight on in GPPs.
Rob Gronkowski is down all the way to $6,000 on DraftKings and I’m still not overly interested in playing Gronk in anything other than GPPs. Even in GPPs, Gronk’s upside appears limited as he’s not commanding a ton of targets and isn’t being used heavily as a red zone target as we’ve seen in the past. I’ll have some exposure to Gronk in GPPs, but don’t feel great about it.
