Finding Paydirt: Week 14 NFL Touchdown Picks — Win 2 Months of RG Premium & More Prizes!

Touchdowns, while extremely variant, make or break daily fantasy success and swing thousands of dollars every Sunday. Every weekend, players wait anxiously for the players on their roster to find paydirt. The purpose of the contest is to provide an opportunity for the RotoGrinders community to come together to sweat our touchdown picks together. Did I mention there will be prizes?

Happy Friday, Grinders. Week 13 is done and dusted and our third segment is over. We need to award some winners while looking forward to our fourth and final segment. Further, with only four weeks left we have some seasonal prizes as a concern. Let’s take a peek as the leaderboard before jumping into this week’s touchdown picks.

The Leaderboard

Kudos to kcdouglas, yisman, and 1010mg for placing in our top three for our third segment. I need to coordinate distribution of prizes. Please send me a DM on Discord to discuss your prize for this segment.

Now, we have one last segment up for grabs as well as an overall seasonal prize. Good luck going forward, everyone.

Finding Paydirt Rules and Prizes

Very simple. Each week, I will publish Finding Paydirt on Friday morning — highlighting my favorite touchdown pick for the running back, wide receiver, and tight end position. To participate in the contest, you simply need to read the article and leave your three picks in the comments section. So, easy, right? You will take Jonathan Taylor, Davante Adams, and Travis Kelce! Easy!

Not so fast, friends! There is a catch. Each week, we will run the contest for Sunday’s DraftKings Main Slate (1:00 PM and 4:00 PM games). However, to make things a bit more interesting, I will be cutting the top five priced running backs and wide receivers as well as the top three priced tight ends. Everyone else on the slate is in play.

Each week I will post an updated leaderboard with the total touchdowns accumulated that week and for the season.

So, simply put, read the article, check the cut list, make your three picks in the comments, and win prizes! What are the prizes? Read below.

The following prizes will be awarded to players based on their touchdown total for each four-week segment:

First Place – 2 months of RotoGrinders NFL Premium
Second Place – RotoGrinders T-shirt and hat
Third Place – 2 weeks of SAO Premium

The following prizes will be awarded to players based on their touchdown total for the first 16 weeks of the NFL season:

First Place – One month of RotoGrinders Combo Premium
Second Place – RotoGrinders Swag Pack
Third Place – One month of SAO Premium

Now, let’s get into this week’s cut list.

The Week 14 Cut List

Your selections must be on the DraftKings Main Slate and cannot be any of the players below. These players are the top five at both RB and WR and the top three at TE.

Running Back Wide Receiver Tight End
Christian McCaffrey Justin Jefferson Travis Kelce
Saquon Barkley Stefon Diggs Mark Andrews
Derrick Henry A.J. Brown T.J. Hockenson
Nick Chubb Ja’Marr Chase
Dalvin Cook Amon-Ra St. Brown

Now that we have cut our player pool, let’s make some anytime touchdown picks.

NFL Week 14 Touchdown Picks

Ezekiel Elliott – RB – $6,100

The Houston Texans are the second-worst defense in the league with respect to fantasy points for opposing running backs. The Texans have ceded the most yards (1,730) and the most touchdowns (14).

So, the Cowboys are looking at a premiere matchup with two great options to run the football. What should we expect? We should probably expect to see a lot of Tony Pollard and a lot of Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott remains the thorn in Pollard truthers’ sides — outcarrying his teammate 17-12 last weekend. Zeke is going to get his no matter how dynamic Pollard is in this offense.

That said, in the redzone, the Cowboys use Ezekiel Elliott more often. We should expect Dallas to find the redzone often. Elliott is -145 to score a touchdown on DraftKings Sportsbook.

D.K. Metcalf – WR – $7,100

D.K. Metcalf leads the NFL in target % inside the twenty yard line. Even after the loss of Russell Wilson, Metcalf and Tyler Lockett have not missed a beat with Geno Smith.

The Seahawks will be very motivated to score and win and not let the Panthers have any window of opportunity. Last week, the Seahawks needed a late game-winning drive to beat the beleaguered Rams. They cannot afford another close call as they aim to stay in the playoff hunt.

With the 49ers losing another quarterback, I expect the Seahawks to be energized and make a statement against the Panthers. Metcalf will continue to see his nearly double-digit allotment of targets and should see a redzone target or two.

At the time of this writing, there are no touchdown odds for Metcalf and the Seahawks.

Pat Freiermuth – TE – $4,500

Lastly, we find ourselves in the wasteland. All of our top touchdown threats are cut and we are left with this motley group of guys who might have a ball thrown their way. Recently, Freiermuth has seen an uptick in targets.

More importantly, Diontae Johnson cropped up on the injury report during the week and is very questionable to play in this game. Johnson leads the Steelers in redzone target %. While I think George Pickens would see a nice boost, Freiermuth figures to factor in more in the scoring area without Johnson.

The Ravens’ defense has been a train wreck all season but typically hold it together against the tight end position. That said, given the uncertainty at this position, I prefer to chase the volume. Caesars Sportsbook prices Pat Freiermuth at +210 to score a touchdown on Sunday.

Thanks for checking out this week’s article. Leave your touchdown picks in the comments for a chance at winning monthly and seasonal prizes.
