Lineup Update: Lakers will start Westbrook, Reaves, James, Ariza, Howard on Friday
Lineup Update: Lakers will start Westbrook, Reaves, James, Ariza, Howard on Friday. LeBron (who was listed as questionable earlier today) will play and start for the Lakers and should see his usual run. Both he and Westbrook should enjoy increased usage with Anthony Davis out for at least the next four weeks. Austin Reaves and Dwight Howard will enter the starting lineup for Los Angeles meaning they both should play increased roles. Ariza will get the start over Stanley Johnson meaning Ariza should see slightly increased run. The Lakers that are worth DFS consideration at this time are Russell Westbrook and LeBron as expensive plays and Carmelo Anthony and possibly Dwight Howard as cheaper options. Though, it is worth noting that Howard hasn’t seen consistent minutes and this is Anthony’s first game in about three weeks making them both riskier plays.

Mavericks will start Doncic, Brunson, Bullock, Finney-Smith, Powell on Friday. Reggie Bullock will return to the starting lineup after missing the last two games, sending Josh Green back to his bench role. Bullock should see his usual run, likely minutes in the low to mid 30s.
As reported by: Chuck CoopersteinCarmelo Anthony (hamstring) will play Friday with no minutes restriction
Carmelo Anthony (hamstring) will play Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers with no minutes restriction. Anthony will make his return to the Lakers after missing about three weeks with a hamstring injury. He should be in line to play minutes in the mid to high 20s off the bench and will likely be one of the top scoring threats for the Lakers with Anthony Davis out for at least four weeks.
As reported by: Mark MedinaReggie Bullock (hip) and Trey Burke (shoulder) available to play Friday; Marquese Chriss (knee) ruled out
Reggie Bullock (hip) and Trey Burke (shoulder) will both be available to play Friday against the Utah Jazz, while Marquese Chriss (knee) has been ruled out. Bullock will be set to return after missing the last two games for the Mavericks and will likely rejoin the starting lineup sending Josh Green back to the bench. With Bullock back, Josh Green and Davis Bertans will both likely play lesser roles and Sterling Brown will most likely be taken out of the rotation. Trey Burke could see some minor minutes for the Mavericks but it is also not clear that he has a position in the rotation either. Chriss is also likely not a member of the current Mavericks rotation so his absence should not be DFS relevant.

Lineup Update: Sixers will start Harden, Maxey, Thybulle, Harris, Embiid on Friday. Matisse Thybulle will get the start over Danny Green tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves and should see normal starter minutes with Green relegated to a bench role. Neither projects particularly well and can be avoided in DFS contests at this time.
As reported by: Philadelphia 76ersMalik Beasley (illness) ruled out Friday
Malik Beasley (illness) has been ruled out for Friday’s contest against the Philadelphia 76ers. Beasley was expected to be one of the top bench options for Minnesota and will likely see his minutes spread out between Taurean Prince, Jaylen Nowell, and Jaden McDaniels. All players mentioned will become slightly better plays but there will be no true winner due to Beasley’s absence.

Knicks will start Burks, Fournier, Barrett, Randle, Robinson on Friday. Despite being listed on the injury report earlier in the day RJ Barrett will remain in the starting lineup for the Knicks and should see his usual run as a starter, minutes somewhere in the low to mid 30s.
As reported by: Fred KatzRudy Gay (illness) ruled out Friday
Rudy Gay (illness) has officially been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks after being listed as doubtful earlier in the day. With Gay ruled out, Trent Forrest and Danuel House Jr. should pick up the bulk of his bench minutes and should see increased value. These players are still not expected to be worth considering in DFS contests however.

Thunder will start Gilgeous-Alexander, Mann, Wiggins, Bazley and Roby on Friday. Roby starting makes it tough to play Derrick Favors now on the B2B. It’s possible the Thunder use Olivier Sarr as their backup big, while Poku could get some extra minutes.

Wizards will start Neto, Kispert, Caldwell-Pope, Kuzma and Daniel Gafford on Friday. Gafford will be the starting center in place of Thomas Bryant. The coaching staff hinted at a change and this is it. This makes Gafford somewhat appealing on DK as a punt play.

Pacers will start Haliburton, Brogdon, Hield, Brissett and Jackson on Friday. Jackson starting over Goga Bitadze is a bit of a surprise, but he’s been a good per-minute producer and on my GPP radar now. He’s my favorite option on the Pacers now.
